Eastern Kentucky University led 34-10 with 4:45 left in the third quarter but had to withstand a furious rally by Murray State to earn a 34-27 victory.  Eastern Kentucky University recorded 15 first downs and 382 yards of total offense.  They were penalized eight times for 114 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Murray State recorded 18 first downs and 425 yards of total offense.  They were penalized nine times for 57 yard and had three passes intercepted.

Daryl McCleskey led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 73 yards on 22 carries.  Alonzo Booth carried the ball 11 times for 42 yards and two touchdowns.  Parker McKinney completed 16 of 30 passes for 256 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Daryl McCleskey caught five passes for 36 yards.  Keyion Dixon added four receptions for 83 yards.  Jerome Gross caught three passes for 43 yards and a touchdown.  Alex Cabrera added two receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown.  Quentin Pringle returned one kickoff for 27 yards.  Josh Hayes led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles.  Steven Crowder added three solo and four assisted tackles.  Corey Glass recorded three solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Frank Sumpter chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss and intercepted a pass.  Daulson Fitzpatrick intercepted a pass he returned 10 yards.  Aaron Patrick recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss and intercepted a pass he returned 39 yards.

Jared McCray led Murray State’s ground game with 10 yards on three carries.  Preston Rice completed 39 of 58 passes for 373 yards and two touchdowns.  L. Brooks caught 12 passes for 154 yards.  DeQuan Dallas added four receptions for 42 yards.  Jam Sappington caught four passes for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Ty Terrell caught three passes for 28 yards and a touchdown.  DaQuon Green caught two passes for 37 yards.  Jacob Bell added two receptions for 34 yards.  DeQuan Dallas returned two kickoffs for 47 yards with a long return for 37 yards.  A. Koclanakis led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Scotty Humpich added six solo and two assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Kendrick Catis recorded four solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 56 yards for a touchdown.

Caldwell County trailed 20-7 late in the second quarter but rallied to defeat Murray by a score of 42-40.  Murray had an opportunity to tie the score in the final minute after a Hunter Utley six yard touchdown run cut the deficit to 42-40 with 50 seconds remaining in the game but the attempt for the two point conversion failed.  Caldwell County recorded 25 first downs and 427 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 40 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Murray recorded 23 first downs and 528 yards of total offense.  They were penalized eight times for 85 yards.

DeEric Hollowell led Caldwell County’s ground game with 109 yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries.  Russ Beshear added 36 yards on 10 carries.  Russ Beshear completed 24 of 31 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Tripp Branch caught eight passes for 117 yards and a touchdown.  Tate VanHooser added six receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown.  Barren Wells returned six kickoffs for 130 yards.  DeEric Hollowell returned one kickoff for 28 yards.  Ben Holt led the defense with five solo and nine assisted tackles.  Barren Wells added six solo and five assisted tackles.  Max Ashley recorded five solo and four assisted tackles.

Jaiden Jackson led Murray’s ground game with 101 yards on seven carries.  Charvelle McCallister carried the ball 13 times for 51 yards and a touchdown.  Hunter Utley scored on a six yard touchdown run.  Hunter Utley completed 27 of 39 passes for 385 yards and three touchdowns.  Jaiden Jackson caught 10 passes for 124 yards.  Tommy Waldrop added seven receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown.  Jorden Duffy recorded nine catches for 119 yards and two touchdowns.  Jorden Duffy returned one kickoff for 27 yards.  Brendan Dahncke returned one kickoff for 22 yards.  Damon Boyd led the defense with 16 solo and four assisted tackles.  Tommy Waldrop added 13 solo and two assisted tackles.

In a game worthy of the pre-game hype #3 Lexington Christian Academy defeated #1 Somerset in Class 2A by a score of 35-34.  LCA claimed the victory on a two point conversion run by Jayden Barnhardt with 2:25 left in the game.  LCA recorded 17 first downs and 372 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized four times for 25 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Somerset recorded 18 first downs and 398 yards of total offense.  The Briar Jumpers were penalized six times for 50 yards.

Xavier Brown led LCA’s ground game with 130 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.  Jayden Barnhardt carried the ball 19 times for 72 yards.  Will Vernon recorded 57 yards and a touchdown on two carries.  Jayden Barnhardt completed eight of 18 passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Dearious Smith caught four passes for 43 yards.  Will Vernon added two receptions for 37 yards and two touchdowns.  Xavier Brown chipped in with two receptions for 31 yards.  Will Vernon returned two kickoffs for 26 yards.  Frankie Knight returned three kickoffs for 27 yards and Dearious Smith added one kickoff return for 21 yards.  Andrew Dobbs kicked field goals of 34 and 21 yards and connected on three of three extra point attempts.  Neal Dickey led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles with 4.5 of his tackles resulting in losses.  Xavier Brown added four solo and four assisted tackles.  Anthony Johns recorded three solo and five assisted tackles.

Jase Bruner led Somerset’s ground game with 56 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Cam Austin carried the ball six times for 56 yards.  Kaiya Sheron recorded 26 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Mikey Garland scored on a five yard run.  Kaiya Sheron completed 13 of 21 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns.  Jayden Gilmore caught two passes for 81 yards.  Kade Grundy added two receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown.  Carson Guthrie recorded two receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown.  Kade Grundy returned two kickoffs for 53 yards and one punt for seven yards.  Jase Bruner led the defense with nine solo and five assisted tackles.  Chaz Gilmore added four solo and five assisted tackles.  Kade Grundy intercepted a pass.

The DeSales defense held Western Hills to 90 yards of total offense in a 48-13 victory.  DeSales recorded eight first downs and 251 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized four times for 37 yards.  Western Hills recorded seven first downs and 90 yards of total offense.  The Wolverines were penalized twice for15 yards and had one pass intercepted.

James Johnson led DeSales’ ground game with 103 yards and two touchdowns on six carries.  Jayden Scroggin carried the ball three times for 39 yards and a touchdown.  Antione Johnson added 14 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  Jayden Scroggin completed four of 11 passes for 97 yards and three touchdowns.  Demetri Scott caught three passes for 52 yards and two touchdowns.  DeMarcus Avery caught one pass for a 45 yard touchdown.  Antione Johnson returned one kickoff for 50 yards.  Derek Hollenkamp led the defense with four solo tackles.  Mekhi Lewis added three solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.

Gilead Galloway led Western Hills ground game with nine yards on four carries.  Dylan Engler completed eight of 21 passes for 79 yards and one touchdown with one interception,  Jason Rogers completed his only pass for 27 yards and a touchdown.  Jason Rogers caught five passes for 54 yards and a touchdown.  DJ Outlaw caught a 27 yard touchdown reception.  Jason Rogers returned two kickoffs for 34 yards.  Demetrius Britt also returned two kickoffs for 30 yards.  Jacob Fields led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackles.

Covington Catholic defeated Highlands tonight by a score of 13-0.  Covington Catholic recorded 18 first downs and 394 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized four times for 33 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Highlands recorded eight first downs and 157 yards of total offense.  The Bluebirds were penalized eight times for 98 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Daniel Felix led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 142 yards on 15 carries.  Michael Boydston carried the ball five times for 23 yards.  Caleb Jacob completed 12 of 25 passes for 215 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Ethan Reardon caught nine passes for 174 yards and a touchdown.  Michael Mayer led the defense with 13 solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Daniel Felix added seven solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Zach Allen recorded six solo and one assisted tackles.

Tyler Brune led Highlands ground game with 42 yards on six carries.  Sawyer Depp added 26 yards on 10 carries.  Collin Hollinsworth carried the ball 11 times for 24 yards.  Collin Hollingsworth completed four of 12 passes for 46 yards with one interception.  Huner Ahlfeld caught two passes for 36 yards.  Joe Buten added two receptions for 10 yards.  Hunter Ahlfeld returned two kickoffs for 66 yards with a long return of 49 yards.  Brycen Huddleston returned two kickoffs for 37 yards with a long return of 29 yards.  Brycen Huddleston led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  Jacob Brass added seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Mason Schwalbach recorded six solo tackles.  Mason South intercepted a pass he returned 18 yards.

Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 16 first downs and 302 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 88 yards and lost a fumble.  Henry Clay recorded 11 first downs and 203 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized eight times for 79 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Mitchell Joseph led Dunbar’s ground game with 133 yards on 19 carries.  Jacob Greene carried the ball 14 times for 43 yards.  Josiah Brown added a touchdown on a three yard run.  Jake Smith completed three of seven passes for 34 yards and a touchdown.  Mitchell Joseph completed his only pass for 73 yards and a touchdown.  Jamarcus Robinson caught two passes for 86 yards and a touchdown.  Tyre Garrard caught a 21 yard touchdown pass.  Jamarcus Robinson returned two kickoffs for 63 yards with a long return of 47 yards.  John Law led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 81 yards.  Mitchell Joseph added six solo tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Connor Smith recorded five solo and one assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards and intercepted a pass he returned for 42 yards.  Josiah Brown added five solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards. Tates Creek amassed 449 yards of total offense on their way to a 34-20 victory over Lafayette.  Tates Creek recorded 17 first downs and 449 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized eight times for 85 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.  Lafayette recorded 15 first downs and 205 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized six times for 41 yards, lost a fumble, and had four passes intercepted.

Luke Duby led Tates Creek’s ground game with 45 yards on 10 carries.  Marcus Bosley carried the ball nine times for 44 yards and two touchdowns.  Willie McGhee added 40 yards on 11 carries.  Cion Townsend carried the ball once for 22 yards.  Luke Duby completed 16 of 27 passes for 297 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Elliot Bryant caught seven passes for 97 yards.  Miles Thomas added four receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown.  Cion Townsend added a 60 yard touchdown reception.  Elliot Bryant returned one kickoff for 51 yards.  Isaiah McFarland led the defense with three solo and five assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards.  Marcus Bosley added four solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards and scored on a 17 yard interception return.  Delarisco Jones recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards.  JT Acosta added two solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass.  Elliot Bryant and Kobe Middleton each intercepted a pass.

Oumar Toure and Owen Hellard each carried the ball six times for three yards for Lafayette. Tanner Pace completed 14 of 34 passes for 250 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions.  Austin Anderson caught five passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns.  JC Shegog added three receptions for 21 yards.  Noah Curtsinger caught two passes for 49 yards.  JC Shegog returned a punt 41 yards for a touchdown and returned two kickoffs for 84 yards with a long return of 69 yards.  Austin Anderson led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Brandon Little added five solo and one assisted tackles.  Elijah Stone recorded four solo tackles.  Chase Bradford also intercepted a pass.

Scott County defeated Montgomery County 55-0 to improve their season record to 8-1.  Scott County recorded 16 first downs and 347 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized three times for 25 yards.  Montgomery County recorded nine first downs and 268 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized three times for 22 yards.

Bronson Brown led Scott County’s ground game with 96 yards and two touchdowns on five carries.  Phillip Garner added 66 yards on six carries.  Jaxson Saylor carried the ball four times for 60 yards and two touchdowns.  Zane Patton chipped in with 36 yards on two carries.  Aaron Prater carried the ball four times for 11 yards and a touchdown.  Cade McKee completed four of five passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns.  McCaleb Coffee caught three passes for 47 yards and a touchdown. George Rogers Clark earned a hard fought 42-34 victory over a very determined Madison Central squad tonight.  Madison Central trailed 28-6 with 4:26 left in the second quarter but Madison Central battled back to cut the deficit to eight points on two occasions but could never complete the comeback.  George Rogers Clark recorded 21first downs and 383 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized 12 times for 105 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.  Madison Central recorded 13 first downs and 222 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized 15 times for 137 yards and lost three fumbles.

Azariah Israel led GRC’s ground game with 184 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries.  Jordan Manley completed 13 of 22 passes for 233 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions.  Dawson Gay caught five passes for 111 yards and three touchdowns.  Jeremiah Johnson added two receptions for 32 yards and one touchdown.  Kareem Guerrant added one reception for 41 yards.  Jeremy Clem led the defense with nine solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards, forced three fumbles, and recovered one fumble.  Sam Neely added three solo and four assisted tackles.  Stephen Warner recorded one solo and five assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Trace Mitchell added two solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Quandre Okolo also recovered a fumble.

Adrien Parks led Madison Central’s ground game with 39 yards on 11 carries.  Canon Scenters completed nine of 18 passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns.  Zach Holbrook caught four passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns.  John Landsaw added four receptions for 68 yards.  Ashton Hulberg added a six yard touchdown reception.  Ashton Hulberg returned three kickoffs for 47 yards.  Nate Storie added three receptions for 29 yards and returned a punt for 11 yards.  Deashon Gowdey returned a kickoff for 23 yards.  Deashon Gowdey led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass.  Kris Olinger added four solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 24 yards for a touchdown.  Edgren Sweat recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.
