George Rogers Clark earned a hard fought 42-34 victory over a very determined Madison Central squad tonight.  Madison Central trailed 28-6 with 4:26 left in the second quarter but Madison Central battled back to cut the deficit to eight points on two occasions but could never complete the comeback.  George Rogers Clark recorded 21first downs and 383 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized 12 times for 105 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.  Madison Central recorded 13 first downs and 222 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized 15 times for 137 yards and lost three fumbles.

Azariah Israel led GRC’s ground game with 184 yards and two touchdowns on 30 carries.  Jordan Manley completed 13 of 22 passes for 233 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions.  Dawson Gay caught five passes for 111 yards and three touchdowns.  Jeremiah Johnson added two receptions for 32 yards and one touchdown.  Kareem Guerrant added one reception for 41 yards.  Jeremy Clem led the defense with nine solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards, forced three fumbles, and recovered one fumble.  Sam Neely added three solo and four assisted tackles.  Stephen Warner recorded one solo and five assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Trace Mitchell added two solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Quandre Okolo also recovered a fumble.

Adrien Parks led Madison Central’s ground game with 39 yards on 11 carries.  Canon Scenters completed nine of 18 passes for 150 yards and three touchdowns.  Zach Holbrook caught four passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns.  John Landsaw added four receptions for 68 yards.  Ashton Hulberg added a six yard touchdown reception.  Ashton Hulberg returned three kickoffs for 47 yards.  Nate Storie added three receptions for 29 yards and returned a punt for 11 yards.  Deashon Gowdey returned a kickoff for 23 yards.  Deashon Gowdey led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles, recovered a fumble, and intercepted a pass.  Kris Olinger added four solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 24 yards for a touchdown.  Edgren Sweat recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.

Boyle County continues to roll defeating Anderson County 52-7 on a night in which they only ran 26 offensive plays but scored a touchdown on defense and added a kickoff return for another touchdown.  Boyle County recorded 13 first downs and 296 yards of total offense.  The Rebels were penalized eight times for 90 yards.  Anderson County recorded 10 first downs and 169 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized six times for 54 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Will McDaniel led Boyle County’s ground game with 57 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  Andrew Sacco carried the ball four times for 41 yards.  Landen Bartleson added 25 yards and a touchdown on three carries.  Reed Lanter completed 12of 16 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns.  Reiley Colwick caught four passes for 20 yards.  Reese Smith added three receptions for 160 yards and two touchdowns.  Andrew Sacco caught three passes for 40 yards.  Gray Rahbany returned a kickoff for 79 yards and a touchdown.  Ezarious Roller led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles.  Wilson Kelly added four solo and one assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 19 yards.  Will McDaniel recorded four solo and one assisted tackles and scored on a 76 yard interception return.  Andrew Sacco added two solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.

Zach Labhart led Anderson County’s ground game with 94 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Isaiah Fitzpatrick carried the ball twice for 24 yards.  Jagger Gillis completed six of 15 passes for 38 yards with one interception.  Sam Herrod caught six passes for 38 yards.  Jacob Castle returned three kickoffs for 75 yards.  Jagger Gillis led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles.  Chase Fink added two solo and two assisted tackles.

Oldham County utilized a balance offensive attack to defeat Bryan Station by a score of 41-28.  Oldham County recorded 27 first downs and 454 yard of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 35 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Bryan Station recorded 17 first downs and 351 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized three times for 35 yards and lost a fumble.

Juan Tapia led Oldham County’s ground game with 186 yards and two touchdowns with 26 carries.  Wilson Tinnell added 32 yards on six carries.  Parker Caudill carried the ball six times for 27 yards.  Sam Young added 25 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.  Sam Young completed nine of 15 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Parker Caudill caught six passes for 104 yards and three touchdowns.  Aiden Gremmert caught one pass for 48 yards.  Brian Monteleone led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles.  Bryce Rochet added five solo tackles.  Parker Caudill recorded five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss.  Matthew Bruner added two solo tackles with his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards and recovered a fumble.

Joey Bond led Bryan Station’s ground game with 190 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.  Amodeus Taylor carried the ball nine times for 25 yards and a touchdown.  Terrick Mulder completed eight of 19 passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns.  Dadrien Taylor caught three passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.  Damin Green added a 33 yard touchdown reception.  Damin Green returned two kickoffs for 72 yards with a long return of 53 yards.  Bryson Fields led the defense with 14 solo and two assisted tackles.  Trai Jenkins added eight solo tackles.  George Taul recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an 11 yard loss.  Damin Green intercepted a pass he returned 15 yards.

Lexington Catholic dominated play tonight in a 48-15 victory over Bourbon County.  Bourbon County was plagued by mistakes; two interceptions and being penalized 17 times for 172 yards and a five touchdowns through the air performance by Lexington Catholic QB Beau Allen.  Lexington Catholic recorded 22 first downs and 452 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized eight times for 74 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Bourbon County recorded 16 first downs and 306 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized 17 times for 172 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Beau Allen led the Lexington Catholic ground game with 62 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.   Beau Allen completed 20of 29 passes for 341 yards and five touchdowns with one interception.  Blake Busson caught six passes for 135 yards and three touchdowns.  Jackson Corbett added five receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown.  Ryan Nichols caught four passes for 42 yards and a touchdown.  Jack Monday chipped in with three receptions for 63 yards.  Pearce Hall led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles.  Phillipe Irumva added four solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.  Chase Blair recorded two solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Zach DeGraff added two solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Jackson Corbett also intercepted a pass he returned for 14 yards.

Dylan Kirk led Bourbon County’s ground game with 80 yards and a touchdown on four carries.  Justin Blankenship added73 yards on six carries.  Nakwan Joyce carried the ball seven times for 44 yards and a touchdown.  Clay Estes completed 14 of 24 passes for 92 yards with two interceptions.  Amirion Joyce caught seven passes for 37 yards.  Kaygen Heflin added six receptions for 43 yards.  Kaygen Heflin returned two kickoffs for 42 yards.  Amirion Joyce returned two kickoffs for 38 yards.  Brayden Frederick led the defense with five solo tackles.  Justin Blankenship added four solo tackles.  Javier Arcaia recorded three solo and two assisted tackles.  Dylan Kirk added three solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards.  Cort. DeSales raced out to a 21-0 lead but had to withstand a furious comeback by Christian Academy of Louisville to earn a 35-28 double overtime victory.  The score was tied 28-28 at the end of regulation.  The game was not without controversy as what was believed to be a CAL reception in the end zone in overtime was ruled incomplete.  As usual it was a typical hard fought classic between these two rivals.  DeSales recorded 16 first downs and 285 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized five times for 79 yards.  CAL recorded 12 first downs and 267 yards of total offense.  The Centurions were penalized five times for 101 yards and lost a fumble.

James Johnson led DeSales ground game with 187 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries.  Jayden Scroggin completed seven of 13 passes for 103 yards and three touchdowns.  Demarcus Avery caught three passes for 46 yards and two touchdowns.  Demetri Scott added two receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Antione Johnson returned two punts for 41 yards with a long return of 21 yards. 

Brandt Babin led CAL’s ground game with 81 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  Anthony Sabatino carried the ball seven times for 46 yards and two touchdowns.  Anthony Sabatino completed five of 15 passes for 58 yards.  Luke Leeper completed his only pass fro 28 yards and a touchdown.  Gage Green returned two kickoffs for 37 yards with a long return of 20 yards.  Gage Green caught two passes for 45 yards.  Luke Leeper added two receptions for 15 yards.  Will Parr caught a 28 yard touchdown pass.

Lexington Christian Academy shut out Washington County by a score of 36-0.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 18 first downs and 433 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized eight times for 85 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Washington County recorded 12 first downs and 187 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 40 yards and lost a fumble.

Jayden Barnhardt led Lexington Christian Academy’s ground game with 52 yards on seven carries.  Jeffrey Selby carried the ball five times for 23 yards and a touchdown.  Xavier Brown also added a touchdown on the ground. Jayden Barnhardt completed 17of 25 passes for 321 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Drew Nieves completed his only pass fro 17 yards.  Dearious Smith caught seven passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns.  Will Vernon added six receptions for 116 yards.  Frankie Knight returned one kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown.  Mattie Lebryk led the defense with three solo and 14 assisted tackles with one tackle for a loss.  Andrew Long added five solo and seven assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses.

Jatavian Churchill led Ballard Memorial’s ground game with 55 yards on 19 carries.  Mike Ellery carried the ball 16 times for 55 yards.  Jatavian Churchill completed 10 of 15 passes for 70 yards.  Javontae Wright caught four passes for 32 yards.  Mike Ellery caught one pass for 18 yards.  Caleb Foster added four receptions for 16 yards.  Miguel Alacantara led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  Denzel Churchill added five solo and one assisted tackles.  Caleb Foster recorded three solo and three assisted tackles.

Murray recorded 15 first downs and 399 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized seven times for 65 yards.  Ballard Memorial recorded eight first downs and 117 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 15 yards and lost a fumble.

Charvelle McCallister led Murray’s ground game with 50 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.  Hunter Utley carried the ball three times for 23 yards.  Hunter Utley completed 10of 15 passes for 312 yards and six touchdowns.  Tommy Waldrop caught five passes for 241 yards and four touchdowns.  Jorden Duffy added two receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown.  Charqwan McCallister recorded two catches for 37 yards and a touchdown.  Jorden Duffy returned one punt for 13 yards.  Damon Boyd led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles.

Covington Catholic handed LsSalle their first loss of the year by a score of 27-7.  This was only LaSalle’s seventh loss in history to a Kentucky school.  Covington Catholic recorded 20 first downs and 359 yards of total offense.  The Colonels were penalized four times for 33 yards and had two passes intercepted.  LaSalle recorded seven first downs and 187 yards of total offense.  The Lancers were penalized four times for 41 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Daniel Felix led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 80 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries.  Luke Zimmerman carried the ball six times for 47 yards.  Caleb Jacob scored a touchdown on the ground.  Caleb Jacob completed 13of 24 passes for 199 yards with two interceptions.  Michael Mayer caught six passes for 97 yards.  Andy Molique added two receptions for 35 yards.  Luke Zimmerman added 27 yards on two receptions.  Daniel Felix led the defense with eight solo and three assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Michael Mayer added six solo and six assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards and intercepted a pass he returned 45 yards for a touchdown.  Noah Powers recorded five solo and three assisted tackles.  Jack Raisbeck intercepted a pass he returned 10 yards.

Oldham County dominated action tonight and totally shut down Madison Central’s offense (44 total yards) in a 28-7 victory on a cold, rainy night at Oldham County High School.  Oldham County recorded 15 first downs and 333 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 10 times for 98 yards and lost a fumble.  Madison Central recorded two first downs and 44 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized seven times for 85 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Sam Young led Oldham County’s ground game with 102 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries.  Kadon Dykes carried the ball 10 times for 24 yards.  Tate Crowell added 22 yards on six carries.  Wilson Tinnell chipped in with 20 yards on four carries.  Sam Young completed 11 of 22 passes for 156 yards and two touchdowns.  Parker Caudill caught four passes for 29 yards.  Gabe Vance added three receptions for 30 yards.  Tyler Holvey caught two passes for 69 yards and two touchdowns.  Parker Caudill returned one punt for 24 yards.  Bryce Rochet led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Brian Monteleone added three solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an eight yard loss.  Koby Thomas recorded two solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards and recovered a fumble.  Wilson Tinnell intercepted two passes.
