Jomaru Brown.  Tennessee State University coach Brian “Penny” Collins countered with 6-8 Jr. Damarri Moore, 6-5 So. Tripp Davis hit a shot with 23 seconds remaining on the clock to give Tennessee State what proved to be the winning points in an 82-81 victory over Eastern Kentucky.  Nick Mayo’s potential game winner at the buzzer fell short.  The score was tied five times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Tennessee State shot 50% from the field including five of 18 from the three point line.  The Tigers connected on 15 of 17 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 15 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Easter Kentucky shot 50.9% from the field including eight of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 17 of 33 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Tennessee State turnovers.

6-4 Jr. Kamar McKnight led Tennessee State with 16 points.  6-1 Fr. Dave Morris added 14 points including two three point baskets.  Armani Chaney recorded 11 points and four assists.  Tripp Davis chipped in with 10 points.  5-10 Jr. Michael Littlejohn also recorded 10 points including two three point baskets.

Jomaru Brown led Eastern Kentucky with 24 points including three three point baskets, seven of 11 free throws, and five rebounds.  Nick Mayo added 22 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two blocked shots.  Tre King recorded 13 points and eight rebounds.

Tia Wooten led a balanced Tennessee State scoring attack with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists.  Taylor Roberts added 13 points.  5-6 Fr. Terrysha Banner recorded 13 points including four three point baskets.  Jaden Wrightsell chipped in with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals.

Murray state shot 42.2% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line.  The Racers connected on 21 of 29 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 17 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 35.4% from the field including five of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 18 Murray State turnovers.

Keaton Hall, 5-6 Fr. Kenzie Ferguson, 5-11 Fr. Taylor LeCompte, 5-1 Sr. Savanna Gullett, and 5-4 Fr. Summer Ray.

Madison Central defeated Model by a score of 51-35 that had several ups and downs.  Madison Central raced out to a 17-8 first quarter lead but Model rallied to take a 27-26 lead with 6:20 remaining in the third quarter.  Madison Central then closed out the game on a 25-8 run to earn the victory.  There were three ties and three lead changes in this game.  Foul woes to Taleya Todd (fouled out with only 10 minutes of playing time) and poor free throw shooting (eight of 25 from the line) hindered Madison Central tonight and turnovers (27 converted to 21 points) were Model’s Achilles’ heel  tonight.

Madison Central shot 34.5% from the field including three of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Indians connected on eight of 25 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 27 Model turnovers.  Model shot 26.8% from the field including one of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Patriots connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 14 Madison Central turnovers.

Jekauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 14 points, eight rebounds, three blocked shots, and six steals.  5-7 Sr. Zahrea Gill was a force off the bench with 11 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  Madison Barnard recorded nine points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Logan Hudson chipped in with six points and five rebounds.  Taleya Todd also scored six points despite being limited to only 10 minutes due to foul woes.  Kelsey Powell was held scoreless but recorded five rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Summer Ray led Model with 11 points including nine of 10 free throws, five rebounds, and two steals.  Keaton Hall added eight points, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Taylor LeCompte recorded seven points, four rebounds, and two steals.  Savanna Gullett chipped in with five points and Kenzie Ferguson recorded four points and 11 rebounds.
