Ben Johnson nailed a three point basket at the buzzer to give Lexington Catholic a 43-42 victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar.  The score was tied seven times and there were five lead changes in the game.  Paul Dunbar led 25-18 in the first half but Lexington Catholic rallied for a big district victory.  Lexington Catholic shot 33.3% from the field including six of 24 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 22 Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 46.7% from the field including five of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds, and scored nine points off 16 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

George Mason led 58-56 after three quarters but outscored Eastern Kentucky 33-19 in the final stanza to defeat the Colonels by a score of 91-75.  Eastern Kentucky was unable to keep Nicole Cardano-Hillary out of the lane and she torched the Colonels for 33 points.  George Mason shot 57.6% from the field including eight of 19 from the three point line.  They connected on 12 of 13 from the field and eight of eight from the free throw line in the final quarter. The Patriots connected on 15 of 18 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 41.9% from the field including 11 of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 31 free throws, and scored 11 points off 13 George Mason turnovers.

Bryan Station rallied from a 14 point deficit in the first quarter to defeat Lexington Catholic 63-61.  The score was tied five times and there were 11 lead changes in the game.  Turnovers (33) and the inability to keep Clay and Godoy out of the lane proved to be the downfall for Lexington Catholic tonight.

George Rogers Clark pulled away in the second half to defeat Simon Kenton by a score of 58-43.  The first half was a gritty defensive battle with Simon Kenton leading 11-6 after the first quarter.  GRC went on a 17-8 run in the second quarter and led 23-19 at halftime.  The Lady Cardinals outscored Simon Kenton 26-7 in the third quarter to take control of the game. 

George Rogers Clark shot 53.3% from the field including five of 13from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on five of 10 free throws and pulled down 22 rebounds.  Simon Kenton shot 39.6% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pioneers connected on eight of 20 free throws and pulled down 23 rebounds.

5-10 Sr. Hayley Harrison led GRC with 24 points and five rebounds.  5-10 Fr. Tyra Flowers added nine points and six rebounds.  5-7 Jr. Kennedy Igo recorded six points and six rebounds.
