Belfry coach Kevin Deskins started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Kailee Rash, 5-7 Jr. Lyndsey Miller, 5-10 Fr. McKenzie Maynard, 5-2 Jr. Ariel Mounts, and 5-5 Jr. Robbi-Ann Brewer.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-7 So. Taleya Todd, 5-7 Sr. Blaze Pacheco, 5-10 So. Je’Kauri McKeithen, 5-5 Sr. Bailey Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Eliza Minter.

 

Madison Central led 14-4 after the first quarter on their way to a 53-45 victory over Belfry.  Foul problems plagued Belfry today as they finished the game with three players saddled with four fouls and Madison Central holding a 22-4 advantage in free throws attempted.  Madison Central shot 40.4% from the field including one of seven from the free throw line.  The Indians connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Belfry turnovers.  Belfry shot 32.7% from the field including five of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Pirates connected on four of four free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored seven points off 18 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Bailey Vanover led Madison Central with 24 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.  Taleya Todd added 14 points.  Je’Kauri McKeithen recorded 11 points and 15 rebounds.  Eliza Minter also pulled down seven rebounds.

 

Kailee Rash led Belfry with 15 points including three three point baskets and five assists.  Lyndsey Miller added 12 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.  McKenzie Maynard recorded six points, four rebounds, and one blocked shot despite being limited to 13:36 minutes of playing time due to foul problems.

Kelsey Woodard, 5-5 Jr. Alison Johnson, and 5-10 Sr. Mara Walker.  Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey countered with 5-7 So. Taleya Todd, 5-7 Sr. Blaze Pacheco, 5-10 So. Je’Kauri McKeithen, 5-5 Sr. Bailey Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Eliza Minter.

 

Madison Central raced out to an early 11-2 lead and defeated Menifee County by a score of 65-58.  The score was tied six times and both teams had key players in foul problems during the game.  Madison Central shot 40% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on eight of 18 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 27 Menifee County turnovers.  Menifee County shot 41.3% from the field including zero of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cats connected on 20 of 29 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Taleya Todd came up big today and led Madison Central with 22 points, four assists, and five steals.  Todd was 10 of 14 from the field including two of six from beyond the arc.  Bailey Vanover added 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Je’Kauri McKeithen chipped in with six points, seven rebounds, and three steals.  Madison Central got a major contribution from their bench today.  5-6 Fr Lacie Parks had eight points including two three point baskets and two steals.  5-6 Jr. Kelsey Powell added seven points, three rebounds, and three steals.  5-9 Jr. Logan Hudson battled inside against a tall Menifee County front line and pulled down six rebounds.

 

Emma Hacker led Menifee County with 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, five blocked shots, and four steals despite being hampered with foul woes.  Alison Johnson added 15 points including seven of nine free throws.  Kelsey Woodard recorded 10 points, three rebounds, and two blocked shots despite being limited to 9:57 of playing time due to foul problems.  Mara Walker added eight points including six of six free throws and pulled down seven rebounds.

Madison Central’s pressure defense recorded 27 steals, three blocked shots, and recorded 37 points off 34 Frederick Douglass turnovers in a 70-46 victory.  Madison Central shot 39.7% from the field including four of 12 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 16 of 28 free throws and pulled down 41 rebounds.  Frederick Douglass shot 32.1% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Broncos connected on five of 13 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 18 Madison Central turnovers.  The Broncos also recorded nine blocked shots.

 

Je’Kauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 20 points, eight rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  McKeithen was eight of 12 from the field and four of six from the free throw line.  Taleya Todd added 18 points including two three point baskets, five assists, and eight steals.  Bailey Vanover recorded a rare triple double with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 steals.  Blaze Pacheco chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets, four assists, and two steals.

 

Destyne Jackson led 23 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, three blocked shots, and five steals.  Timothi Williams added eight points and four rebounds.
