Male coach Willie Feldhaus started the following lineup: 6-4 So. Noah Courtney, 6-4 So. Howard Fleming, 6-4 Sr. Shane Doughty, 5-10 So. Tyren Moore, and 5-10 So. Jake Evans.  Lafayette coach Michael Mendenhall III countered with 6-3 Sr. Eric Powell, 6-1 Sr. Cameron King, 6-9 So. Ray Surratt, 5-10 Jr. Evan Dreux, and 5-11 Sr. Fousseyni Diallo.

 

Lafayette outscored Male 23-10 in the second quarter on their way to a 65-52 victory over Male.  Lafayette shot 52% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 20 Male turnovers.  Male shot 45.7% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 Male turnovers.

 

Eric Powell led Lafayette with 16 points including five three point baskets, three assists, and two steals.  6-2 Sr. Devontae Hayes added 11 points.  Ray Surratt recorded 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and five blocked shots.  Fousseyni Diallo also scored 10 points.

 

Howard Fleming led Male with 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Shane Doughty added nine points.  Noah Courtney recorded eight points, four rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.

Lafayette defeated West Creek (TN) by a score of 76-54.  Lafayette shot 45.3% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 12 of 24 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 24 West Creek turnovers.  West Creek shot 35.5% from the field including three of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Coyotes connected on seven of 17 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 15 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Ray Surratt led Lafayette with 19 points and eight rebounds.  Devontae Hayes added 12 points and 12 rebounds.  Cameron King recorded 10 points including three three point baskets.  Eric Powell chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, and three assists.

 

Jaylen Negron led West Creek with 19 points and seven rebounds.  6-3 Jr. Zion Thomas added 12 points and nine rebounds.  5-6 Jr. Montre Boddie recorded 10 points and four steals.  6-1 Jr. Shawn Stone also pulled down nine rebounds.

Southwestern raced out to a 20-5 first quarter lead on their way to a 70-51 victory over Wayne County.  Southwestern shot 56% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Warriors connected on 11 of 20 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 15 Wayne County turnovers.  Wayne County shot 48% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored five points off 11 Southwestern turnovers.

 

Kennedy Harris led Southwestern with 15 points including three three point baskets.  Alexa Smiddy added 13 points.  Kallie Sheron recorded nine points and eight rebounds.  Regi Cundiff chipped in with eight points and four rebounds.  5-8 Fr. Marissa Loveless also scored eight points. 

 

Macey Blevins led Wayne County with 27 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  Mallory Campbell added eight points and six rebounds.  Haleigh Criswell also scored eight points.

Kaylee Mathis led Clay County with 23 points including three three point baskets.  5-6 Jr. Shelby Phillips added 12 points on four three point baskets, four assists, and five rebounds.  5-9 Jr. Summer Parker recorded seven points and nine rebounds.  5-4 Fr. Taylor Asher chipped in with seven points, four rebounds, and three assists.

5-6 Jr. Shelby Phillips led Clay County with 30 points including six three point baskets, eight of 10 free throws, four rebounds, and four steals.  5-9 Jr. Summer Parker added 14 points and four rebounds.  Kaylee Mathis recorded 11 points and seven assists.
