Beechwood dominated play on both sides of the ball tonight in a 41-0 shutout victory over Raceland.  Beechwood recorded 18 first downs and 305 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 46 yards and lost a fumble.  Raceland recorded three first downs and 27 yards of total offense.  They were penalized six times for 27 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

James Davis led Beechwood’s rushing attack with 88 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries.  Logan Castleman carried the ball eight times for 51 yards and a touchdown.  Brayden Burch completed 22 of 30 passes for 186 yards and one touchdown.  Daniel Mescher caught 12 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown.  Logan Castleman added four receptions for 35 yards.  Harrison Heist led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  R. Cottingham added four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  Joshua Derry recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.  Jake Moore intercepted a pass and Blake Soete and G. Dollenmeyer each recovered fumbles. 

Dalton Adkins led Raceland’s rushing attack with eight yards on two carries.  Hunter Lacks carried the ball five times for seven yards.  Damon Black completed six of 10 passes for eight yards with one interception.  Judd Adkins caught two passes for two yards.  Michael Hughes added one reception for six yards.  Gunnur Lewis returned seven kickoffs for 125 yards with a long return of 23 yards.  Dalton Adkins led the defense with 11 solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss.  Gunnur Lewis added seven solo tackles.  Jayden Boggs recorded two solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards.  Tyus Ferguson added two solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Seth Brooks chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Alex Byrley.  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-3 Sr. TC Price, 6-1 Fr. Ben Johnson, 6-5 Sr. Zan Payne, 5-11 Jr. Javen Hardin, and 6-0 Sr. Keegan Bailey.

Lexington Catholic defeated Corbin by a score of 77-48.  Lexington Catholic shot 56.4% from the floor including four of 19 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 18 Corbin turnovers.  Corbin shot 38.8% from the field including four of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Redhounds connected on six of nine free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Zan Payne led Lexington Catholic with 16 points and seven rebounds.  Javen Hardin added 12 points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Ben Johnson also scored 12 points, four assists, and three steals.  6-7 Sr. Max Sparkman chipped in with 10 points.  TC Price recorded seven points, eight rebounds, seven assists, three blocked shots, and four steals.

Andrew Taylor led Corbin with nine points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and four steals.  Alex Byrley also scored nine points.  Chandler Stewart added eight points including two three point baskets.

Oregon State trailed 35-31 at halftime but outscored Eastern Kentucky 43-27 in the second half to earn a 74-62 victory.  The score was tied three times and there were seven lead changes in the game.  Oregon State shot 55.6% from the field including seven of 17 from the three point line.  They connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 12 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 45.5% from the field including nine of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on three of six free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Oregon State turnovers.

Stephen Thompson Jr. led Oregon State with 26 points including four three point baskets and six assists.  Tres Tinkle added 21 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Drew Eubanks chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.

Nick Mayo led Eastern Kentucky with 15 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Asante Gist added 15 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists.  Dedric Boyd chipped in with 12 points.  Jackson Davis pulled down eight rebounds.

Bria Bass, 6-2 Jr. Madison Pierce, 5-8 Jr. A’Queen Hayes, and 5-8 So. Shay Solomon.

Eastern Kentucky led 52-47 with 46 seconds remaining in regulation but Kent State’s Naddiyah Cross hit a three point basket with seven seconds remaining in regulation to tie the score at 54-54.  Eastern Kentucky could not connect on a late shot and the game went to overtime.  Kent State dominated play in the extra five minutes and earned a 65-57 victory.  Eastern Kentucky outscored the Golden Flashes 22-9 in the third quarter and entered the final quarter with a 43-35.  The score was tied five times and there were five lead changes in the game.

Kent State shot 38.9% from the field including five of 21 from the three point line.  The Golden Flashes connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  They also held a 19-2 advantage in bench scoring and a 15-5 advantage in second chance points.  Eastern Kentucky shot 40% from the field including six of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on nine of 15 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 17 Kent State turnovers.

Naddiyah Cross led Kent State with 19 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  McKenna Stephens added 11 points and five rebounds.  Jordan Korinek recorded 10 points and five rebounds.  6-4 Jr. Merissa Barber-Smith added nine points, 15 rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Abby Wright led Eastern Kentucky with 19 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  A’Queen Hayes added 16 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Bria Bass chipped in with 12 points and six rebounds.

Karleigh Delk, 5-7 Jr. Bailey Pedigo, and 5-8 Jr. Mallory Pedigo.  Allen County-Scottsville coach Brad Bonds countered with 5-11 Jr. Sarah Sutton, 5-7 Sr. Bailee Alderson, 5-11 Jr. Mason Towey, 5-2 Sr. Sydney Day, and 5-6 Sr. Kali Mutter.

Barren County trailed 31-23 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Allen County-Scottsville 48-46 in overtime.  Barren County outscored Allen County-Scottsville 19-11 in the final quarter to take a 42-40 lead late but Allen County-Scottsville’s Bailee Alderson scored a put back basket in the closing seconds to force overtime.  Karleigh Delk made so big plays down the stretch in overtime to give Barren County the victory.  There were five lead changes and four ties in the game.

Barren County shot 50% from the field including three of six from the three point line.  The Trojanettes connected on 11 of 21 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored four points off 10 Allen County-Scottsville turnovers.  Allen County-Scottsville shot 48.7% from the field including zero of two from beyond the arc.  The Lady Patriots connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 Barren County turnovers.

Bailey Pedigo led Barren County with 14 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two assists.  Karleigh Delk added 13 points and five rebounds.  Elizabeth Bertram also scored 13 points. 

Sarah Sutton led Allen County-Scottsville with 16 points and eight rebounds.  Mason Towery added 10 points, four rebounds, five assists, and two blocked shots.  Sydney Day added seven points, four rebounds, and five assists.

Whitney Hay led Elizabethtown with 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Tanasia Murphy added 15 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, and six steals.  Leikyn Walker recorded 14 points and six rebounds.  Morgan Gattis pulled down seven rebounds and blocked four shots.

Kindall Talley led Franklin County with 20 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and four assists.  5-10 8^th Grader Patience Laster added 10 points and nine rebounds.  5-4 Jr. Julia Welsh chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets.  Jasmine Simpson also scored eight points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.

Covington Catholic raced out to a 35-11 first quarter lead on their way to a 93-51 victory over St. Henry.  Covington Catholic shot 63.6% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers.  St. Henry shot 39.6% from the field including seven of 15 from beyond the arc.  They connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and committed 17 turnovers.

CJ Frederick led Covington Catholic with 22 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, eight assists, and two steals.  Aiden Ruthsatz added 17 points including three point baskets, four rebounds, and five assists.  Jake Walter recorded 16 points and eight rebounds.  Nick Thelen chipped in with 12 points, five rebounds, and four steals.

Lafayette trailed 47-38 at halftime but rallied in the second half to defeat Paul Laurence Dunbar by a score of 86-73.  Dunbar went cold from the field in the second half only shooting 35% after the intermission.  There were five lead changes and six ties in the game.  Lafayette shot 46.8% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 20 of 22 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 31 points off 23 Dunbar turnovers.  Dunbar shot 47.9% from the field including five of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Bulldogs connected on 22 of 25 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Lafayette turnovers.

Ray Suratt led Lafayette with 25 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Eric Powell added 19 points including nine of 10 free throws, six rebounds, and three steals.  Cameron King recorded 15 points on five three point baskets.

Michael Allen led Dunbar with 25 points including 11 of 12 free throws.  JaQuice Gray and Jared Gadd each scored 16 points.  Michael Corio pulled down 11 rebounds.

Christian Academy of Louisville defeated Fern Creek by a score of 79-65.  CAL shot 38.7% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Centurions connected on 27 of 35 free throws, pulled down 57 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 19 Fern Creek turnovers.  Fern Creek shot 31.2% from the field including four of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on 13 of 24 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 29 CAL turnovers.

Shelby Calhoun had an incredible night for CAL and led the Lady Centurions with 35 points including 15 of 19 free throws, 33 rebounds, seven assists, and five assists.  Mia Beam added 20 points and three steals.  Sydney Racque chipped in with 11 points.  5-6 8^th Grade Abigail Embry recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and two steals.

Alexis Smith led Fern Creek with 16 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.  Miyana Foree added 15 points and six rebounds.  Tiana Austin recorded 10 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots.
