Juliette Smith, and 5-8 Sr. Bailey Hawkins.  North Laurel coach Eddie Mahan Jr. countered with 5-11 Sr. Kayla Bruner, 5-9 So. Scott County pulled away in the final quarter to defeat North Laurel by a score of 85-71.  The score was tied five times and there were five ties in the game.  Scott County shot 40.8% from the field including seven of 21 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 20 of 36 free throws, pulled down 57 rebounds, and scored eight points off 14 North Laurel turnovers.  North Laurel shot 29.6% from the field including seven of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Jaguars connected on 22 of 34 free throws, pulled down 51 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Scott County turnovers.

Peyton Riddle led Scott County with 19 points.  5-4 8^th Grade Morgan DeFoor added 16 points including 10 of 14 free throws and pulled down seven rebounds.  Bailey Hawkins also scored 16 points including four three point baskets.  Lauren Boehm recorded 12 points and 18 rebounds.

Lincoln County utilized a young but talented frontcourt and a veteran backcourt to defeat a talented Henry Clay squad 62-50.  Lincoln County scored several points in transition and the Hall twins flawlessly directed their offense.  Lincoln County shot 46.3% from the field including one of five from the three point line.  The Lady Patriots connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 32.7% from the field including three of 10 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored six points off 11 Lincoln County turnovers.

Emma King led Lincoln County with 22 points including eight of 10 free throws.  Kaitlyn Wilks added 18 points and eight rebounds.  Cristin Hall chipped in with seven points.  Caitlin Hall recorded two points, six rebounds, seven assists, and three steals.

Eastern Kentucky ratcheted up their defense in the second half to defeat Florida Atlantic 80-73 in a hotly contested game tonight.  Florida Atlantic led by six in the first half but Eastern Kentucky led 37-36 at halftime.  Eastern Kentucky took a 13 point lead in the second half but Florida Atlantic fought back to close the margin.  There were nine lead changes in this game. 

Eastern Kentucky shot 42.9% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 27 of 33 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 15 Florida Atlantic turnovers.  Florida Atlantic shot 41.5% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Owls connected on 14 of 16 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 13 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Symone Simmons hit a three point basket with eight seconds on the clock to give Wright State a 71-69 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  The Colonels had one last possession but could not score.  The score was tied 12 times and there were 14 lead changes in the game.  Wright State was seven of 11 from behind the arc in the second half, out rebounded the Colonels 46-35, and held a 27-7 advantage in bench scoring.
