Montgomery County coach Matt Daniel started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Samuel Hodgson, 6-3 Jr. Cody Parsley, 6-7 Jr. Shelby Combs, 5-10 Jr. Carswell Fuller, and 6-2 Jr. Art Walker. Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-3 Sr. Colby Barnes, 6-1 Jr. Isaiah Tisdale, 6-5 Jr. Jordan Houston, 5-9 Sr. Dakhari Wilson, and 6-0 Sr. Felix Wilson.
Henry Clay raced out to a 20-6 lead in the second quarter but had to survive a Montgomery County rally to earn a 56-50 overtime victory. Henry Clay shot 40% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Montgomery County turnovers. Montgomery County shot 34.7% from the field including seven of 26 from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 13 Henry Clay turnovers.
Isaiah Tisdale led Henry Clay with 15 points. Dakhari Campbell added 11 points including three three point baskets. 6-2 Jr. Leander Ridgeway recorded nine points and eight rebounds. Felix Wilson chipped in with nine points and six assists. Colby Barnes and Jordan Houston pulled down nine and seven points respectively.
Art Walker led Montgomery County with 17 points including five three point baskets. Cody Parsley added 13 points and five rebounds. Shelby Combs pulled down nine rebounds and Carswell Fuller dished out eight assists.
