Anderson County improved to 8-1 with a 41-7 victory over East Jessamine tonight.  Anderson County broke open the game in the second quarter with three touchdown passes from Zach Carmichael to Ross Cox to increase the margin to 24-0 at halftime.  Cox went out of the game in the second half with an injury and did not return to the game.  Anderson County recorded 18 first downs and 506 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized five times for 31 yards and lost three fumbles.  East Jessamine recorded seven first downs and 108 yards of total offense.  The Jaguars were penalized three times for 15 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Zach Carmichael led Anderson County’s ground game with 134 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.  Zach Carmichael completed 15 of 20 passes for 282 yards and three touchdowns.  Ross Cox caught seven passes for 171 yards and three touchdowns.  Dusty Puckett added three receptions for 53 yards and Brayden Russell caught two passes for 40 yards.  Blake Trimble led the defense with four solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Darius Harvey added two solo and four assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards. 

Jared Caudill led East Jessamine’s ground game with 14 yards on 12 carries.  Coty Garrett completed nine of 22 passes for 125 yards with two interceptions.  Kahnan Leslie caught three passes for 82 yards.  Kend. Reynolds led the defense with five solo and four assisted tackles.  Josh Hamilton added four solo tackles.  Brandon Mahan recovered a fumble that he returned 79 yards for a touchdown.

Franklin County defeated Montgomery County by a score of 49-19.  Franklin County recorded 19 first downs and 483 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized six times for 63 yards.  Montgomery County recorded 16 first downs and 346 yards of total offense.  They were penalized twice for 15 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Chris Roberts led Franklin County’s ground game with 110 yards and four touchdowns on 12 carries.  Isaiah Lee carried the ball eight times for 100 yards.  Barrett Sanderson completed 11 of 18 passes for 146 yards and three touchdowns.  De. Kennedy caught four passes for 47 yards and two touchdowns.  Chris Roberts and Lorenzo McCaskell each caught two passes for 34 and 30 points respectively.  Rylan Rowe caught a nine yard touchdown pass.  Landon Hurst and Malik Barrett led the defense with four solo tackles each.  Jh. Rodriguez and Keenan Holleran each recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and Holleran intercepted a pass.

Aaron Botts led Montgomery County’s ground game with 160 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries.  Zach Roland carried the ball four times for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Chaiten Tomlin completed six of 17 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Chase Hall caught three receptions for 59 yards,  Nathan Brown caught a 70 yard touchdown pass.  Zach Roland led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  Colton Pence added four solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Jo. Postelnick recorded five solo tackles.

Lexington Catholic averaged 18.9 yards per play on 31 offensive plays in a 62-9 victory over Marion County.  Lexington Catholic recorded 21 first downs and 585 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized 10 times for 102 yards.  Marion County recorded 11 first downs and 188 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 89 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Carter Gray led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 122 yards and two touchdowns on two carries.  Noah Mitchell added 76 yards and two touchdowns on six carries.  Marcelis Logan carried the ball four times for 44 yards and a touchdown.  Reese Ryan completed seven of nine passes for 224 yards and a touchdown.  Sam Letton caught three passes for 107 yards and a touchdown.  Marcelis Logan added three receptions for 101 yards and two touchdowns.  Justin Brownell caught a 56 yard touchdown pass.  Josh Messmer led the defense with 10 solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss.  Chase Boling added eight solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Eric Foster chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles.  Marty Brown recorded four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 22 yards.

Logan Breeding led Marion County’s ground game with 44 yards on 12 carries.  Eddie Ponce carried the ball five times for 27 yards and a touchdown.  Hayden Taylor completed eight of 16 passes for 132 yards with one interception.  Lincoln Haydon caught three passes for 83 yards.  Dakota Newsome led the defense with four solo tackles.  Aaron Buckman added three solo tackles.

Scott County improves to 9-0 with a 51-8 victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar.  Scott County recorded 17 first downs and 408 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized twice for 14 yards.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded seven first downs and 146 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized twice for 10 yards and lost two fumbles.

Keith Guy led Scott County’s potent ground attack with 97 yards and a touchdown on five carries.  Theo Price carried the ball 12 times for 84 yards and a touchdown.  Kevin Claussen added 78 yards and three touchdowns on 12 carries.  Clay McKee completed three of five passes for 83 yards and one touchdown.  Scott Daniel caught two passes for 49 yards.  Thomas Daniel added a 34 yard touchdown reception.  Austin Crank led the defense with three solo and five assisted tackles.  Triston Mosley added three solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  J. McKeethan and Thomas Daniel each recorded three solo tackles.  Jacob Van Meter added two solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.

Brandyn Duncan led Dunbar’s ground game with 45 yards on five carries.  Jay Coleman carried the ball eight times for 39 yards.  Kendall Roberts completed one of four passes for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Brandyn Duncan caught two passes for 58 yards and a touchdown.  Derante Sanders led the defense with five solo and five assisted tackles.  AJ Williams added three solo and three assisted tackles.  Luke Daily recorded two solo and five assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss.

Ben Durham kicked a 27 yard field goal as time expired to give Madison Central a 32-30 victory over George Rogers Clark.  Madison Central recorded 15 first down and 344 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized four times for 21 yards and lost a fumble.  George Rogers Clark recorded 22 first downs and 384 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were not penalized and lost one fumble.

Johan Williams led Madison Central’s ground game with 226 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries.  Zach Hardin completed six of 13 passes for 107 yards.  Caleb McClurg caught five passes for 74 yards.  Brandon Northern led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles.  Dante Altamirano added nine assisted tackles.  Cameron Davis recorded three solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.

Josiah Isreal led George Rogers Clark’s ground game with 126 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries.  Luke Sharrock completed 25 of 38 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns.  Brent Stoneking caught 13 passes for 123 yards and a touchdown.  Khmarkis Blanton added five receptions for 50 yards and Tanner Rose caught four passes for 42 yards.  Josiah Isreal caught a nine yard touchdown pass.  Khmarkis Blanton returned one kickoff for 70 yards.  Elijah Farris led the defense with six solo and six assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Chris Schochler added three solo and seven assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards.  Johnny Jarrett chipped in with three solo and five assisted tackles.  Tanner Rose recorded five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.

The teams combined for 57 first downs, 1157 yards, and 103 points in an offensive shootout as Bryan Station earned a 55-48 overtime victory.  Bryan Station trailed 48-42 in regulation but Ora Johnson scored on a six yard run to tie the score at 48-48 with 28 seconds left in regulation.   Bryan Station missed the conversion kick and the game went to overtime.  Bryan Station went on offense first in the overtime period and scored on a 10 yard pass from Ora Johnson to Tequan Claitt and a conversion kick by Anthony Lopez. Ora Johnson led Bryan Station’s ground game with 116 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.  K-CI Carmichael carried the ball 14 times for 68 yards.  Ora Johnson completed 32 of 49 passes for 479 yards and six touchdowns with one interception.  CJ Walker Jr. caught 11 passes for 181 yards and one touchdown.  Lavelle Cloyd added eight receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns.  Tequan Claitt caught seven passes for 61 yards and three touchdowns.  K-CI Carmichael led the defense with six solo and five assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Andre Davis added four solo and nine assisted tackles.  Shane Preston recorded four solo and five assisted tackles.

Elijah Bell led Henry Clay’s ground attack with 255 yards and five touchdowns on 27 carries.  Davion Jackson carried the ball 26 times for 205 yards and two touchdowns.  Sammy Carter completed six of nine passes for 46 yards.  Davion Jackson caught two passes for 15 yards.  Da. Robinson led the defense with seven solo tackles.  Nathan Moore added five solo and four assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Quentin Gay recorded five solo and two assisted tackles.

Tates Creek erased a 14-7 halftime deficit and defeated Lafayette by a score of 35-28. Tates Creek came out with a high level of intensity in the second half and was sparked by the recovery of two on-side kicks that led to touchdowns. Tates Creek recorded 19 first downs and 366 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized nine times for 72 yards.  Lafayette recorded 15 first downs and 317 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 11 times for 101 yards.

Casey Grimes led Tates Creek’s ground game with 86 yards on 14 carries.  Jaren Shelby carried the ball 15 times for 43 yards and two touchdowns.  Graham Gordon completed 16 of 26 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns.  RJ Taylor caught four passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns.  RJ Taylor led the defense with six solo tackles.  Max Sweet added three solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Casey Grimes recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.

Malik Robinson led Lafayette’s ground game with 50 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Walker Wood carried the ball six times for 33 yards.  Walker Wood completed 11 of 18 passes for 206 yards and two touchdowns.  Dontavion Jackson caught six passes for 141 yards and a touchdown.  Michael Serafini added two receptions for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Kylan Nelson scored on an 80 yard kickoff return.  Kylan Nelson led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles.  Reagan Schlegel added three solo and eight assisted tackles.  Mason Alstatt recorded five solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss.  Logan Alstatt added two solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.

Anderson County held Franklin County scoreless after the intermission to defeat Franklin County 35-21 and hand the Flyers their first defeat of the season..  Anderson County improves to 7-1 while Franklin County falls to 8-1 for the season.  Franklin County raced out to a 14-0 lead with five minutes left in the first quarter as they took advantage of Anderson County turnovers.  Franklin County led 21-7 with 9:45 left in the second quarter but Anderson County rallied to tie the score at 21-21 by halftime.  The third quarter was scoreless but Anderson County got two touchdown runs by Ross Cox in the final quarter to settle the issue.

Anderson County recorded 24 first downs and 394 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized six times for 65 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Franklin County recorded seven first downs and 199 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized seven times for 66 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Zach Carmichael led Anderson County’s ground attack with 87 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.  Ross Cox carried the ball 18 times for 63 yards and three touchdowns.  Tristin Ashburn recorded 59 yards on four carries.  Zach Carmichael completed 11 of 19 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Chris Toomey caught five passes for 87 yards.  Dusty Puckett added four receptions for 43 yards.  Brayden Russell caught two passes for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Joe Rose connected on five extra point kicks and punter four times for a 45.0 average with a long kick of 54 yards.  Tristin Ashburn led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles.  Huston Page added three solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards.  Landon Searcy recorded two solo and six assisted tackles.

Lorenzo McCaskell led Franklin County’s ground game with 34 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Chris Roberts carried the ball eight times for 15 yards.  Barrett Sanderson completed 11 of 21 passes for 145 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Lorenzo McCaskell caught five passes for 66 yards and two touchdowns.  Chris Roberts added three receptions for 22 yards.  Isaiah Lee caught two passes for 52 yards.  Jh.
