Mercer County defeated Paul L. Dunbar by a score of 54-14.  Mercer County utilized their ground attack averaging 9.9 yards per carry on 35 rushing attempts.  Mercer County recorded 19 first downs and 440 yards of total offense.  The Titans were penalized 12 times for 111 yards and lost four fumbles.  Paul L. Dunbar recorded 18 first downs and 305 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized 10 times for 93 yards, lost three fumbles, and had five passes intercepted.

James Johnson led Mercer County’s ground game with 221 yards and four touchdowns on 11 carries.  Chris Goodman carried the ball six times for 78 yards and a touchdown.  Drew Davis completed seven of 17 passes for 94 yards and a touchdown.  Chris Goodman caught two passes for 25 yards.  Dylan Logue added two receptions for 15 yards and a touchdown.  Dylan Logue led the defense with three solo and seven assisted tackles.  Austin Coleman, Chris Goodman, and Garrett Anderson each recorded three solo and four assisted tackles.  Lane Peavler intercepted four passes.

Emory Thompson led Paul L. Dunbar’s ground attack with 100 yards on 10 carries.  Antwan Williams carried the ball 18 times for 75 yards and a touchdown.  Trent Bauer completed seven of 22 passes for 80 yards with three interceptions.  Emory Thompson completed four of nine passes for 32 yards with two interceptions.  Chris Allen completed one of two passes for 29 yards and a touchdown.  Taylor Smith caught three passes for 50 yards and a touchdown.  Emory Thompson added three receptions for 41 yards and Darien Hardaway caught three passes for 26 yards.  Andre Jones led the defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles.  Emory Thompson added six solo and one assisted tackles.

Anderson County defeated Marion County by a score of 28-12.  Anderson County recorded 16 first downs and 384 yards of total offense.  The Bearcats were penalized seven times for 69 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.  Marion County recorded nine first downs and 220 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized seven times for 56 yards.

Zach Carmichael led Anderson County’s ground game with 77 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries.  Granville Hayes carried the ball 12 times for 56 yards.  Zach Carmichael completed eight of 16 passes for 140 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  Granville Hayes caught five passes for 121 yards and a touchdown.  Ross Cox led the defense with five solo tackles.  Austin Hall added four solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Nathan Cox recorded four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.

Justin Dawson led Marion County’s ground game with 36 yards on seven carries.  Hayden Taylor completed 13 of 20 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns.  Justin Dawson caught six passes for 66 yards.  Lincoln Hayden added four receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns.  Tyran Sickles led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles.  Vincent Collins added five solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass which he returned 26 yards.

Scott County raced out to a 29-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 56-6 victory over Simon Kenton.  Scott County improves to 9-1 while Simon Kenton falls to 7-3 for the season.  The game was in reality decided in the first two minutes as Scott County’s Je. Christopher returned the opening kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown and Patrick Murray scored on a 35 yard interception return to give Scott county a 13-0 lead with 10:58 left in the first quarter.  Scott County recorded 18 first downs and 486 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 60 yards.  Simon Kenton recorded 11 first downs and 190 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized twice for nine yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Kevo Edwards led Scott County’s ground game with 152 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.  Hunter Nelson carried the ball three times for 66 yards.  Clay McKee completed four of eight passes for 87 yards and a touchdown.  Scott Daniel caught three passes for 69 yards.  Thomas Daniel caught an 18 yard touchdown pass.  Conner Owens led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles.  Peyton Simmons added three solo and four assisted tackles.

Andrew Sampson led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 74 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.  Brennan Kuntz completed seven of 22 passes for 108 yards with one interception.  Grant Wassom caught three passes for 53 yards.  Lars McEntyre added two receptions for 46 yards.  Jared Bowling led the defense with five solo and seven assisted tackles.  Kyle Mann added three solo and 11 assisted tackles.

The evening was cold and rainy but both teams provided the thunder and lightning on offense as Bryan Station prevailed in overtime with a 55-52 victory over Collins.  Bryan Station improves to 6-4 on the year while Collins falls to 7-3. It was definitely a fast-break offense as Bryan Station ran 86 plays and Collins got off 74 snaps. Bryan Station took a 42-28 lead after three quarters and looked like they were prepared to close the door on the Titans.  However, Collins scored on a three yard run by Lawson Page and conversion kick by Blanton Creque to make the score 42-35.  Collins recovered a Bryan Station fumble on the ensuing kickoff on the Bryan Station 20.  Page scored on a one yard run and Creque converted to tie the score at 42-42 with 6:49 left in the fourth quarter.  On the next Bryan Station drive Landon Forrest intercepted a Ora Johnson pass at the 50 yard line.  Deandre Farris scored on a four yard run and Creque converted to take a 49-42 lead with 1:37 left in the quarter.  Bryan Station roared back and Ora Johnson threw a 55 yard touchdown pass to Marcus Floyd and Anthony Lopez nailed the conversion kick to knot the score 49-49 with 33 seconds left in the quarter.  Collins got the ball first in overtime and was forced to settle for a 23 yard field goal by Blanton Creque to take a 52-49 lead.  Bryan Station then took the ball and on the third play Ora Johnson fought his way in to the end zone from the one yard line and Bryan Station took a 55-52 victory.

Bryan Station recorded 30 first downs and 638 yards of total offense.  The Defenders were penalized nine times for 78 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.  Collins recorded 19 first downs and 350 yards of total offense.  The Titans were penalized eight times for 98 yards and lost a fumble.

Ora Johnson led Bryan Station’s ground game with 99 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.  Curtis Sellers carried the ball 10 times for 59 yards and a touchdown.  Ora Johnson completed 31 of 44 passes for 452 yards and five touchdowns with one interception.  Marcus Floyd caught 14 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns.  Kenyon Hipps added nine receptions for 176 yards and three touchdowns.  Troy Marks led the defense with four solo and eight assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Elijah Burdette added six solo and three assisted tackles.  Michael Morton recorded five solo and four assisted tackles.

Deandre Farris led Collins’ ground game with 61 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries.  Lawson Page carried the ball 15 times for 56 yards and three touchdowns.  Lawson Page completed 12 of 28 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns.  Deandre Farris caught five passes for 80 yards and a touchdown.  Nathan Sames added four receptions for 64 yards.  Masai Whyte led the defense with seven solo and eight assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  Nathan Sames added six solo and five assisted tackles.  Zach Wilson recorded six solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.

Four turnovers and 139 yards of penalties proved to be to much to overcome tonight as Lexington Catholic dropped a 35-21 road decision to Bowling Green.  Bowling Green improved to 10-0 for the season while Lexington Catholic falls to 8-2.  Bowling Green recorded 16 first downs and 271 yards of total offense.  The Purples were penalized four times for 27 yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.  Lexington Catholic recorded 15 first downs and 205 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized 13 times for 139 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

Blue Tisdale led Bowling Green’s ground attack with 85 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.  Devin Hayes completed 13 of 24 passes for 164 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Nacarius Fant caught five passes for 95 yards and a touchdown.  Blue Tisdale added three receptions for 44 yards and a touchdowns.  Spencer Renfro added two receptions for 18 yards and a touchdown.  Allen Gonsalves led the defense with nine solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 16 yards and intercepted a pass.  Lincoln Quick also recorded nine solo tackles.

Noah Mitchell led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 26 yards on 10 carries.  Ryan Reese completed 16 of 37 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions.  David Bouvier caught six passes for 48 yards.  Sam Letton added three receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown.  Casey Nash caught two passes for 38 yards and a touchdown.  Sawyer Shelton and Alex Nash led the defense with four solo tackles each.

Madison Central led 36-14 after three quarters but Knox Central rallied to tie the game 36-36 and force overtime.  Knox Central scored on a 10 yard  run by Kyle Hammons and a two point conversion run by Jeffery Canady to take a 44-36 lead and held on for the win as Devon Evans intercepted a Hunter Stocker pass to end the game.  Knox Central improves to 9-1 for the season while Madison Central falls to 6-4.  Knox Central recorded 16 first downs and 396 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 30 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Madison Central recorded 20 first downs and 438 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized eight times for 42 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Jeffery Canady led Knox Central’s ground attack with 212 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries.  Jonathan Gist carried the ball eight times for 48 yards.  Kyle Hammons carried the ball five timed for 39 yards and a touchdown.  Devon Evans completed nine of 19 passes for 72 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Matthew Barger caught four passes for 34 yards and a touchdown.  Jonathan Gist added two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown.  Armani Wardlaw led the defense with seven solo and six assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards.  Devon Evans added five solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Jeffery Canady also intercepted a pass.

Dominique Hawkins led Madison Central’s ground game with 68 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries.  Hunter Stocker completed 21 of 32 passes for 348 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Ken’Jah Bosley caught 12 passes for 221 yards and a touchdown.  Dominique Hawkins added four receptions for 74 yards and a touchdown.  Tucker Fair led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.  Cam. Hatchett added four solo and three assisted tackles.  Austin Coyle recorded five solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

North Laurel 35  Lincoln County 14 – Michael Nelson carried the ball 13 times for 211 yards including TD runs of 37, 58, and 83 yards and threw a 95 yard touchdown pass to Cole Lewis to lead North Laurel to victory.

Corbin 57  Casey County 22 – Corbin led 42-0 at halftime on their way to victory.  Casey County’s Alex Bolin carried the ball 36 times for 219 yards including TD runs of 36, 25, and 31 yards.

Breathitt County 54  Knott County Central 0 – QB Richard Trent completed seven of nine passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns and ran for a 43 yard touchdown to lead Breathitt County.

Henry Clay gave up 455 yards of offense, turned over the ball five times, but still made enough plays on both sides of the ball to defeat Bryan Station by a score of 33-31.  Henry Clay improves their record to 4-6 while Bryan Station falls to 5-4.  A lot of the credit must be given to Devin Byrd who intercepted three passes and scored on a 47 yard interception return.  Henry Clay recorded 13 first downs and 388 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized five times for 37 yards, lost two fumbles, and had three passes intercepted.  The Blue Devils were only two of five in red zone opportunities.

Elijah Bell led Henry Clay’s ground game with 97 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.  Davion Jackson carried the ball 13 times for 71 yards.  Sammy Carter completed 12 of 26 passes for 220 yards and one touchdown with three interceptions.  Colby Barnes caught three passes for 107 yards.  Austin Black added three receptions for 55 yards and a touchdown.  Davion Jackson caught three passes for 35 yards.  Jamaal Maddox led the defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles.  Cole McCarty added six solo and eight assisted tackles.  Jalen Ludwig recorded five solo tackles.  Quentin Gay added three solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Devin Byrd intercepted three passes with 64 yards of return yardage including a 47 yard return for a touchdown.

Ora Johnson led Bryan Station’s ground game with 95 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Ora Johnson completed 21 of 48 passes for 267 yards and three touchdowns with four interceptions.  Kenyon Hipps caught eight passes for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Marcus Floyd caught four passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns.  Devon Key added three receptions for 36 yards.  Elijah Burdette led the defense with five solo and seven assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling four yards and intercepted a pass.  Jameree Robertson added three solo and seven assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Jamar Brooks recorded five solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Landon Browning added five solo and one assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting on losses totaling six yards.

Lafayette utilized a balanced offense (182 yards on the ground and 218 yards through the air) to defeat Tates Creek by a score of 28-14.  Lafayette recorded 21 first downs and 400 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized six times for 71 yards and had three passes intercepted.  Tates Creek recorded 11 first downs and 242 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized six times for 54 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Kylan Nelson led Lafayette’s ground attack with 156 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Garrett Peavler completed 14 of 27 passes for 218 yards and two touchdowns with three interceptions.  Darius Hughes caught four passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.  Tranard Chester added three receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown.  Justin Carr led the defense with three solo and five assisted tackles.  Mason Alstatt and Kylan Nelson each recorded four solo and two assisted tackles and Alstatt intercepted a pass.

Dennis Oxendine led Tates Creek’s ground game with 44 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.  Graham Gordon completed 13 of 25 passes for 141 yards with one interception.  Casey Grimes caught four passes for 51 yards.  R.J. Taylor caught four passes for 31 yards and Tavon Dunn added three receptions for 38 yards.  Dennis Oxendine led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 14 yards.  Jay Rayford added two solo and five assisted tackles and R.J. Lexington Catholic took advantage of several short field offensive drives because of punt returns and recorded a 55-6 victory over Marion County to improve their record to 8-1 for the season.  Marion County falls to 2-7 for the campaign.  Lexington Catholic recorded 11 first downs and 243 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized eight times for 82 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Marion County recorded 11 first downs and 149 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized three times for 32 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Amoh Kumengisa led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 43 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries.  Reese Ryan completed nine of 20 passes for 140 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  David Bouvier caught three passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.  Amoh Kumengisa added two receptions for 31 yards.  Malik Guidry caught a 30 yard touchdown pass.  Casey Nash had four punt returns for 132 yards and David Bouvier had one return for 40 yards and a touchdown.  Braxton Couch led the defense with five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 12 yards.  Alex Nash added four solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 19 yards.  Nick Foster also recorded four solo tackles.  Josh Mesmer and Noah Mitchell each recorded three solo tackles and one assisted tackles and Mesmer had an interception which he returned 40 yards for a touchdown.

Enrico Floyd led Marion County’s ground game with 100 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.  Hayden Taylor completed two of 10 passes for 24 yards with one interception.  Michael Walls caught one pass for 22 yards.  Vincent Collins led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.  Enrico Floyd and Anton Cowherd each recorded three solo and one assisted tackles.
