The score was tied 14-14 at halftime but Scott County outscored Oldham County 26-0 in the second half to earn a 40-14 victory.  Scott County recorded 16 first downs and 393 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized four times for 19 yards and lost two fumbles.  Oldham County recorded nine first downs and 158 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 20 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Josh Walls led the Scott County ground attack with 104 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Marcus Hill carried the ball nine times for 70 yards.  Kevo Edwards added 40 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries.  Ben Lawler completed six of 11 passes for 150 yards and a TD.  Josh Walls caught four passes for 129 yards and a touchdown.  Blake Irvin led the Cardinal defense with five solo and five assisted tackles.  JT True added two solo and 10 assisted tackles.  Jordan Kindred chipped in with four solo and three assisted tackles.

Corbin Axtell led Oldham County’s  ground game with 48 yards on  seven carries.  Brett Leary added 40 yards and a TD on 15 carries.  Austin Johnson completed four of 17 passes for 24 yards with one interception.  Eric Mudd caught two passes for 14 yards.  Cody Oldham added two receptions for 10 yards.  Casey Sheehan led the defense with 10 solo tackles.  Jarrod Combs added four solo and one assisted tackles.

Henry Clay 31  Scott County 20 – Henry Clay scored two touchdowns in the final 2:36 minutes of the game to defeat Scott County

Lafayette 45  Franklin County 21 – Lafayette passed for 352 yards and ran for 204 yards in their win tonight.

Clark County 49  Paul Dunbar 21 – Pokey Harris ran for 135 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Cardinals to victory.

Lone Oak 33  Lexington Cathholic 25 – Lone Oak led 33-11 and held off a late LexCath rally to improve to 4-0.

Lexington Christian Academy 20  Christian Academy of Louisville 14 (OT) – LCA’s Scout McCamy threw 9 yard TD pass to Chad Snyder in overtime to give LCA the victory.

Western 29  Bryan Station 6 – Jacory Ritchie scored on runs of 14 and 86 yards to lead Western to victory.

Male 36  Central 0 – John Giddens ran for 132 yards and scored two TDs to lead Male to a shutout victory.

Trinity 22  Cincinnati Elder 20 – QB Travis Wright threw a 2 yard TD pass to Ryan Steffey in the closing seconds for the victory.

Highlands 34  Cincinnati Withrow 27 – Highlands was led by QB Patrick Towles who carried the ball 19 times for 172 yards and four touchdowns.

Hazard 54  Paris 13 – Jon Combs threw TD passes of 4, 45, 53, 65, and 25 yards to lead Hazard to victory.

Clay County 60  South Laurel 42 – QB John Wilson threw TD passes of 11, 38, 20, 26, and 50 yards to lead the Tigers to victory.

Dixie Heights 41  Conner 26 – QB Zeke Pike ran for TDs of 26, 11, and 1 yards and threw TD passes of 30 and 8 yards to lead Dixie Heights.

Christian County 39  Pleasure Ridge Park 32 – Christian County had plenty of offensive fireworks tonight as Anthony Hickey completed 13 of 20 passes for 266 yards and five touchdowns.  Bubba Tandy had six receptions for 183 yards and three touchdowns.

Fern Creek 46  Meade County 21 – Jerrell Moore led the Tigers with 231 yards on 19 carries.

Perry County Central 27  Breathitt County 7 – Kyle Huff threw TD passes of 7, 11, and 27 yards to lead PCC to victory.

Pokey Harris led Clark County’s ground game with 135 yards and three touchdowns on eight carries.  Andrew Dini added 116 yards and a TD on nine carries.  Andrew Dini completed five of 10 passes for 159 yards and a touchdown.  Pokey Harris caught two passes for 86 yards.  Colin Reddix led the defense with four solo and seven assisted tackles.  Mason Jones added four solo and two assisted tackles.

Lafayette averaged a robust 8.2 yards per offensive play on 68 plays in a 45-21 victory over Franklin County.  Lafayette recorded 19 first downs and 556 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized 12 times for 101 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Franklin County recorded nine first downs and 167 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized seven times for 38 yards, lost three fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Bubba Johnson led Lafayette’s ground game with 133 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.  Matt Britt completed 13 of 21 passes for 309 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Tanner Napier caught five passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns.  Bubba Johnson added five receptions for 66 yards.  Nick Jeter caught three passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns.  Justin Carr led the defense with three solo and four assisted tackles.  Trey Benson added three solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 12 yards.

Lone Oak defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 33-25.  Lone Oak got off to a fast start as they opened the game with an eight play scoring drive which culminated in a 10 yard TD run by Davontae Wilson.  The Purple Flash led 13-3 at the half.  Lexington Catholic scored in the third quarter on a four yard run by Kyle Bolin and a two point conversion pass from Luke Fish to Anthony Kersey to make the score 13-11.

Turnovers and other mistakes doomed Lexington Catholic over the next  few minutes as Lone Oak pulled away for a 33-11 lead with 10:42 remaining in the game.  Lexington Catholic finally got untracked on offense and pulled to within eight; 33-25 with 2:29 left in the game. Lexington Catholic had one more opportunity but had to give up the ball on downs.

Lone Oak recorded 16 first downs and 342 yards of total offense.  The Purple Flash were penalized eight times for 72 yards and lost a fumble.  Lexington Catholic recorded 18 first downs including 10 in the final quarter and 287 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized six times for 33 yards, lost a fumble and had two passes intercepted.

Bryce Wright led Lone Oak’s ground game with 80 yards and a TD on 14 carries.  Joeontre Starks carried the ball eight times for 55 yards.  Cole Ousley completed 13 of 27 passes for 172 yards.  Joeontre Starks caught five passes for 47 yards.  Felix Colon added two receptions for 85 yards.  Davontae Wilson led the defense with nine solo tackles.  Payton Harris and Felix Colon each recorded five solo tackles.

Kyle Bolin led the Lexington Catholic ground game with 59 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.  Kyle Bolin completed 18 of 43 passes for 199 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Luke fish caught five passes for 62 yards.  Adam Bush added four receptions for 75 yards.  James Maddox caught four passes for 28 yards and a touchdown.  Adam Wachs led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles.  Anthony Kersey added six solo and one assisted tackles.

Henry Clay scored 14 points in the last 2:36 of the game to defeat Scott County by a score of 31-20.  Scott County took a 20-17 lead on a 20 yard field goal by Jay Willmott with 3:34 left on the clock.  Henry Clay’s Jerry Williams hit Bo Brooks with a screen pass and Brooks manuevered through traffic for a 69 yard TD to give the Blue Devils a 24-20  lead with 2:36 remaining in the game.  The Cardinals marched down the field to the Henry Clay 29 before Anthony Mealy picked off a Ben Lawler pass and returned it 89 yards for a TD to ensure a big win on the road for Henry Clay.

Henry Clay recorded 17 first downs and 472 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized eight times for 58 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.  Scott County recorded 12 first downs and 271 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized four times for 16 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Jerry Williams led the Henry Clay ground attack with 154 yards on 17 carries.  Blake Green carried the ball three times for 45 yards.  Jerry Williams completed 16 of 24 passes for 245 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions.  Carwell Gardner caught five psses for 69 yards and two touchdowns.  Blake Green added four receptions for 41 yards.  Bo Brooks caught three passes for 91 yards and a TD.  Sean Bryant led the defense with seven solo and three assisted tackles.  James Hendron added six solo and one assisted tackles.  Anthony Mealy had an 89 yard interception return for a touchdown.

Marcus Hill led Scott County’s ground attack with 93 yards on 17 carries.  Josh Walls carried the ball 10 times for 40 yards and a TD.  Ben Lawler completed eight of 16 passes for 141 yards and a TD with two interceptions.  James Happy caught six passes for 92 yards.  Jordan Kindred led the defense with six solo passes with two of his tackles resulting in losses totalling 10 yards.  JT True added four solo and one assisted tackles.  Jay Wilmott kicked two field goals, punted three times for a 46.3 yard average and recorded four touchbacks on four kickoffs.
