Oldham County survived a hard fought battle to come away with a 35-29 victory on the road.  Oldham County recorded 20 first downs and 410 yards of total offense.  They were penalized 11 times for 80 yards.  Simon Kenton recorded 14 first downs and 303 yards of total offense.  The Pioneers were penalized five times for 24 yards and lost three fumbles.

Sam Young led Oldham County’s ground game with 76 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.  Kayden Osbourn added 48 yards on 20 carries.  Sam Young completed 14 of 20 passes for 265 yards and three touchdowns.  Justin Ruffin caught three passes for 63 yards.  Brian Monteleone added three receptions for 62 yards.  Wesley Alexander recorded two receptions for 44 yards and one touchdown.  Jacob Davis added three receptions for 41 yards.  Jaxon Elkins caught two passes for 28 yards and a touchdown.  Tyler Lindmier caught a 27 yard scoring reception.  Houston Manning punted six times for a 44.2 average.  Jaxon Elkins returned one punt for 15 yards.  Tyler Lindemier returned one kickoff for 34 yards.

Chase Crone led Simon Kenton’s ground game with 105 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.  Chase Crone completed 10 of 21 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns.  Chase Williams caught three passes for 92 yards and a touchdown.  Jayden Lawson added two receptions for 23 yards.  Jackson Galbraith recorded one reception for 21 yards and a touchdown.  Andrew Perry punted six times for a 34.5 average.  Zeb Sand returned two kickoffs for 47 yards.  Chase Gill led the defense with 10 solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses.  Joe Vormbrock added five solo and four assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses.  Josh Bowling recorded three solo and eight assisted tackles.

Boyle County defeated Tates Creek by the score of 31-6.  Boyle County recorded 16 first downs and 293 yards of total offense.  They were penalized seven times for 73 yards.  Tates Creek recorded 11 first downs and 180 yards of total offense.  The Commodores were penalized eight times for 75 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Dalton Stone led the Boyle County ground game with 53 yards and a touchdown on seven carries.  Cole Lanter carried the ball five times for 33 yards.  Avery Bodner added 27 yards on five carries.  Trey Lanter recorded 27 yards on three carries.  Jagger Gillis completed 13 of 18 passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns.  Cole Lanter caught eight passes for 85 yards and two touchdowns.  Hayden Kelly added three receptions for 22 yards.  Cole Lanter returned one punt for 16 yards.  Jackson Smith kicked off six times for a 59.3 average and four touch backs.  Dalton Stone led the defense with five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Tommy Zeismer added four solo and two assisted tackles.  Avery Bodner recorded three solo and two assisted tackles.  Jagger Gillis added two solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss and recovered a fumble.  Cole Lanter intercepted a pass he returned 17 yards.

M. Underwood led Tates Creek’s ground game with 69 yards on 15 carries.  A. Witherington completed 16 of 33 passes for 122 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  M. Smith caught five passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.  M. Underwood added two receptions for 19 yards.  Kobe Middleton recorded two receptions for 18 yards.  Aliyon Blevins caught three passes for 10 yards.  M. Underwood led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Cartez Guy added five solo and two assisted tackles.  Laquan Newby recorded four solo and two assisted tackles.

Elder dominated tonight as Covington Catholic could not get untracked on offense and took a 28-6 victory.  Elder recorded 16 first downs and 358 yards of total offense.  They were penalized three times for 13 yards.  Covington Catholic recorded eight first downs and 177 yards of total offense.  They were penalized once for five yards and had three passes intercepted.

Will Summers led Elder’s ground game with 35 yards on 10 carries.  Luke Flowers carried the ball 10 times for 32 yards and a touchdown.  Drew Ramsey added 28 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.  Ben Hambleton carried the ball seven times for 17 yards.  Ben Hambleton completed 18 of 23 passes for 239 yards and one touchdown.  Drew Ramsey caught eight passes for 165 yards and a touchdown.  Andrew Harp caught five passes for 32 yards.  Nicholas Paff led the defense with five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling seven yards.  Zack Gutekunst added four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss and intercepted two passes.  Bartley Thomas intercepted a pass he returned 56 yards.

Reid Hummel led the Covington Catholic ground game with 68 yards on seven carries.  Adam Holtz completed seven of 17 passes for 91 yards and one touchdown with three interceptions.  Reid Hummel caught three passes for 25 yards and a touchdown.  Preston Agee caught one pass for 58 yards.  Robby Sandfoss returned two kickoffs for 99 yards with a long return of 54 yards.  Colin Gastright and David Sullivan led the defense with seven solo and two assisted tackles each.  Dallas Wirth added six solo and one assisted tackle with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.  Aiden Jones recorded five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss.

Madison Southern took an early 6-0 lead but it was all Southwestern the rest of the way as the Warriors claimed a 55-14 victory.  Southwestern recorded 28 first downs and 540 yards of total offense.  The Warriors were penalized nine times for 95 yards.  Madison Southern recorded 17 first downs and 278 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized seven times for 60 yards and lost a fumble.

Tanner Wright led Southwestern’s ground game with 113 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.  Giddeon Brainard carried the ball seven times for 82 yards and two touchdowns.  Connor Crisp added 73 yards on nine carries.  Dylan Brand carried the ball five times for 44 yards.  Christian Walden added 32 yards on four carries.  Collin Burton completed three of three passes for 48 yards and a touchdown.  Maison Hibbard completed four of eight passes for 47 yards.  Matt Shadoan completed four of four passes for 22 yards and one touchdown.  Kaden Hewitt caught four passes for 51 yards.  Christian Walden caught one pass for 29 yards and a touchdown.  Kaden Flores added an eight yard touchdown reception.  Hayden Burton scored on a 37 yard fumble recovery return.  Dylan Brand returned two kickoffs for 42 yards.

Lexington Christian Academy was plagued by penalties (12-146 yards) and Madison Central was plagued by turnovers (4) in a typical opening game but LCA emerged with a 21-12 victory on the road.  The game was hotly contested and got a little “chippy” at times but there was some hard hits delivered by both teams tonight and the intensity level was high.  Lexington Christian Academy recorded 16 first downs and 351 yards of total offense.  The Eagles were penalized 12 times for 146 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.  Madison Central recorded eight first downs and 228 yards of total offense.  The Indians were penalized six times for 38 yards, lost a fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

Xavier Brown led LCA’s ground game with 55 yards on nine carries.  Drew Nieves carried the ball 11 times for 55 yards.  Jeremiah Riffle added 28 yards on four carries.  Jveontae Emerson recorded 23 yards on three carries.  Drew Nieves completed 12 of 20 passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Mason Moore caught six passes for 128 yards and two touchdowns.  Andrew Dobbs punted four times for a 40.2 average with a long punt of 55 yards with two kicks inside the 20 yard line and kicked off four times with four touch backs.  Evan Brown returned two kickoffs for 56 yards with a long return of 33 yards.  Tyler Morris led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 18 yards.  Will Nichols added four solo and three assisted tackles.  Jveontae Emerson intercepted a pass he returned 32 yards for a touchdown.  Evan Brown intercepted a pass he returned 19 yards and Mason Moore also intercepted a pass.  Will Bivens recovered a fumble.

Adrien Parks led Madison Central’s ground game with 95 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.  Brady Hensley was successful running the “Wildcat” carrying the ball eight times for 45 yards.  Elijah Steele completed four of 12 passes for 70 yards with two interceptions.  Jayden West caught two passes for 33 yards.  Brady Hensley added one reception for 33 yards.  Jeffrey Kinley led the defense with 11 solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted one pass he returned 41 yards.  Edgren Sweat added four solo and two assisted tackles.  Kyran Jackson recorded four solo tackles.  Brady Hensley added two solo and one assisted tackle and scored on an 81 yard fumble recovery return.  Jayden West also intercepted a pass.

Franklin County raced out to a 21-0 first quarter lead on their way to a 43-14 victory over Scott County.  Franklin County recorded 15 first downs and 376 yards of total offense.  The Flyers were penalized seven times for 58 yards and lost one fumble.  Scott County recorded six first downs and 122 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized once for five yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

Kaden Moorman led Franklin County’s ground game with 89 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries.  Jayden Mattison carried the ball five times for 54 yards and a touchdown.  Jayden Mattison completed 13 of 17 passes for 213 yards and one touchdown.  Zack Claudio caught five passes for 86 yards and a touchdown.  Peyton Ledford added two receptions for 65 yards.  Kaden Moorman recorded two receptions for 44 yards.  Kaden Moorman returned one kickoff for 50 yards.  Brenton Sears led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackle and recovered a fumble he returned 10 yards.  Keaton Lee added five solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a three yard loss and scored on a 48 yard recovered fumble return.  Peyton Ledford recorded three solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards.  Braeden Tracy intercepted a pass.

Thomas Feickert led Scott County’s ground game with 40 yards on nine carries.  Montago Jones carried the ball four times for 31 yards.  Andrew Hickey completed three of 10 passes for 14 yards with one interception.  Paul Garner caught one pass for 10 yards.  Jeremy Hamilton scored on a 68 yard kickoff return and a 63 yard punt return.  Thomas Feickert returned three kickoffs for 77 yards including a long return of 66 yards.  Jeremy Hamilton led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles.  G. Robinson added four solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards.  Isaac Krebs recorded three solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Lexington Catholic earned a 24-21 victory over Ryle on the road tonight.  Lexington Catholic recorded 20 first downs and 354 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized six times for 35 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Ryle recorded 21 first downs and 389 yards of total offense.  The Raiders were penalized seven times for 43 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Walker Hall led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 116 yards on 26 carries.  Blake Busson carried the ball five times for 28 yards.  Jack Gohmann completed 17 of 25 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Jack Monday caught five passes for 65 yards.  Tanner Pedroch caught four passes for 47 yards.  Blake Busson added two receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown.  Walker Hall and Max Mooring also had touchdown receptions.  Blake Foster led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  E. Pierre-Louis added five solo and one assisted tackle.  Robert Hall recorded four solo tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 15 yards.  H. Romero also recorded four solo tackles.  Gavin Klein and Isaac Smith each recovered a fumble and Blake Busson intercepted a pass.

Jayce Harden led Ryle’s ground game with 70 yards on eight carries.  Logan Verax added 66 yards on 15 carries.  Logan Verax completed 16 of 29 passes for 224 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Hunter Vaughn caught five passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.  Jayce Harden added four receptions for 34 yards.  Gavin Ruark caught three passes for 58 yards and a touchdown.  Kaden Gardner recorded two receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown.  Jackson Belk led the defense with 14 solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a 13 yard loss.  Gabe Savage added eight solo and two assisted tackles.  Kaden Gardner recorded seven solo tackles.  Nathan Yowan added four solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an 11 yard loss and intercepted a pass.

Conner scored two touchdowns in the last two minutes to pull away in a 35-12 victory over Lafayette.  Conner recorded 20 first downs and 422 yards of total offense.  They were penalized four times for 29 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Lafayette recorded 15 first downs and 285 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized four times for 25 yards and had two passes intercepted.

Conner’s ground attack was led by Alijah Thompson with 160 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries.  Alex Castrucci carried the ball 14 times for 120 yards and two touchdowns.  Alex Castrucci completed nine of 13 passes for 118 yards with one interception.  Clayton Melcher caught three passes for 44 yards.  Terry Phillips and Nathan Table each caught one pass for 28 and 20 yards respectively.  Frank Salzarulo returned one kickoff for 38 yards.  Nick Keller kicked off six times for a 58.5 average and five touch backs, punted twice for a 47.0 average, and kicked five extra points.  C. Lindermann led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards.  Frank Salzarulo added four solo and one assisted tackle.  Alijah Thompson and Alex Castrucci each intercepted a pass.

JaeWON Kendrick led Lafayette’s ground game with 16 yards on nine carries.  Hayden Dawahare completed 20 of 37 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions.  Tanner Pace caught eight passes for 109 yards and one touchdown.  Lucas Doneghy added seven receptions for 94 yards and one touchdown.  Noah King caught four passes for 36 yards.  Hayden Dawahare punted three times for a 48.7 average with a long punt of 67 yards.  Caleb Bryant led the defense with eight solo and two assisted tackles.  D. Jackson added seven solo and one assisted tackle with one of his tackles resulting in a six yard loss.  Bond Jacobs recorded two solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned seven yards.  Tre Wilson III recovered a fumble he returned eight yards.

Johnson Central ran for 394 yards and five touchdowns and raced out to a 44-7 halftime lead on their way to a 60-21 victory over Henry Clay.  Johnson Central recorded 22 first downs and 482 yards of total offense.  The Golden Eagles were penalized six times for 58 yards.  Henry Clay recorded 11 first downs and 121 yards of total offense.  The Blue Devils were penalized four times for 21 yards and had a pass intercepted.

Zach McCoart led Johnson Central’s ground game with 106 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.  Mason Lawson carried the ball 11 times for 103 yards.  Carter Conley added 65 yards on eight carries.  Matt Crum recorded 56 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Grant Rice completed two of four passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns.  Jacob Cain caught two passes for 88 yards and two touchdowns.  Seth Davis led the defense with six solo tackles.  Jesse McCoy added three solo and one assisted tackle with one of his tackles resulting in an 11 yard loss.  Andrew Burchett recorded two solo tackles with the tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards.  Mason Lawson intercepted a pass he returned 79 yards.

Jacob Childress led Henry Clay’s ground game with 35 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Blake Van Horn completed eight of 11 passes for 113 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  L. Barrentine caught four passes for 35 yards.  Malcolm Paul added two receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown.  Kasen Parks returned three kickoffs for 151 yards including a 93 yard return for a touchdown.  Aidan Hannan  led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackle.  Kyan Miller added four solo and one assisted tackle with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  Nash Dotson also recorded four solo and one assisted tackle.

Paul Laurence Dunbar led 29-22 at halftime and exploded for 40 points in the second half to defeat Breathitt County by the score of 69-28.  The two teams combined for 97 points, 41 first downs, 927 yards on total offense, and were penalized 19 times for a total of 285 yards.  Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 18 first downs and 514 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized 14 times for 127 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Breathitt County recorded 23 first downs and 413 yards of total offense.  They were penalized five times for 158 yards, lost one fumble, and had three passes intercepted.

K. Robinson led Dunbar’s ground attack with 129 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries and two touchdowns.  Delane Smith carried the ball three times for 65 yards and one touchdown.  Cole Colony added 57 yards on 10 carries with one touchdown.  Cole Colony completed 13 of 21 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Shyhiem Drew caught three passes for 86 yards with one touchdown.  K. Robinson added three receptions for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Erik White returned one kickoff for 84 yards and a touchdown.  JT Seltsam led the defense with six solo and one assisted tackle.  Grant Angel added six solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 21 yards.  Mason Hayslett recorded five solo and one assisted tackle and intercepted a pass.  John Law added three solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 23 yards.

Jaylen Turner led Breathitt County’s ground game with 132 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries.  Caden Bowling carried the ball 10 times for 29 yards and two touchdowns.  Jaylen Turner completed 16 of 37 passes for 240 yards with two interceptions.  Austin Sperry caught six passes for 82 yards.  Isaac Turner added five receptions for 107 yards.  Jaylen Turner and Bryce Hoskins each recorded five solo and one assisted tackle.  Ethan Gibson added three solo and two assisted tackles.  Jaylen Turner also intercepted a pass he returned for 24 yards.
