Leo coach Gary Cogdell started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Zack Troyer, 6-1 Jr. Ayden Ruble, 6-7 Jr. Demetrious Allen, 6-1 Sr. Blake Davison, and 6-1 Sr. Xavier Middleton.  Silver Creek coach Brandon Hoffman countered with 6-7 Sr. Kooper Jacobi, 6-2 Sr. Isaac Hinton, 6-9 Sr. Trey Kaufman-Renn, 5-11 Jr. Trey Schoen, and 6-0 Jr. Brandon Northern.

 

Silver Creek held on in the final seconds to defeat Leo by the score of 50-49.  The score was tied nine times and there were three lead changes in this game.  Silver Creek shot 34.6% from the field including five of 17 from the three point line.  The Dragons connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored six points off eight Leo turnovers.  Leo shot 30% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lions connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 14 points off nine Silver Creek turnovers.

 

Kooper Jacobi led Silver Creek with 18 points including three of four free throws, 18 rebounds, and two assists.  Trey Kaufman-Renn added 13 points including three of four free throws, 10 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Isaac Hinton recorded seven points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists.  Brandon Northern chipped in with six points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

 

Blake Davison led Leo with 20 points including two three point baskets, six of seven free throws, three rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Demetrious Allen added nine points and seven rebounds.  Ayden Ruble recorded eight points, three rebounds, and four assists.  Zack Troyer chipped in with six points and 15 rebounds.

Christian Johnson.

 

Blackhawk Christian defeated Parke Heritage by the score of 55-40.  Blackhawk Christian shot 45.7% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line.  The Braves connected on seven of nine free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored two points off four Parke Heritage turnovers.  Parke Heritage shot 28% from the field including three of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Wolves connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored six points off six Blackhawk Christian turnovers.

 

Caleb Furst led Blackhawk Christian with 20 points, seven rebounds, and six blocked shots.  Zane Burke added 14 points including two three point baskets, two of two free throws, four rebounds, and four assists.  Jacob Boyer recorded 14 points including two three point baskets, four of five free throws. four rebounds, and two assists.

 

Connor Davis led Parke Heritage with 18 points including six of six free throws, and nine rebounds.  Riley Ferguson added nine points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and three assists.

Kouts coach Kevin Duzan started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Parker Kneifel, 6-4 Sr. Hunter Kneifel, 6-4 Sr. Cooper Schoon, 5-11 Sr. Cale Wireman, and 6-0 Sr. Cole Wireman.  Barr-Reeve coach Josh Thompson countered with 6-4 Jr. Hagen Knepp, 6-3 Sr. Brycen Graber, 6-9 Sr. Curt Hopf, 6-1 Sr. Devin Graber, and 6-1 Jr. Kayden Graber.

 

Barr-Reeve took the early lead and was never caught on their way to a 64-48 victory over Kouts.  Barr-Reeve shot 41.8% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Vikings connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Kouts turnovers.  Kouts shot 32.1% from the field including five of 23 beyond the arc.  The Mustangs connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored six points off 10 Barr-Reeve turnovers.

 

Curt Hopf led Barr-Reeve with 23 points including seven of 13 free throws, 19 rebounds, and one blocked shot.  Hagen Knepp added 16 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Devin Graber recorded 13 points including four of six free throws and three assists.  Brycen Graber chipped in with two points, six rebounds, and 13 assists.

 

Cole Wireman led Kouts with 21 points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and two assists.  Cale Wireman added 15 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two assists.  Parker Kneifel recorded six points, seven rebounds, and two assists.

Montverde Academy led 23-21 at halftime but outscored Sunrise Christian Academy 28-17 in the third quarter on their way to a 62-52 victory and the championship.  Montverde Academy shot 51% from the field including 10 of 22 from the three point line.  They connected on two of four free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and eight points off seven Sunrise Christian Academy.

 

Caleb Houstan led Montverde Academy with 16 points including four three point baskets and four rebounds.  Langston Love added 13 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, and five assists.  Ryan Nembhard recorded 12 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.  Jalen Duren chipped in with nine points and nine rebounds. 

 

6-3 Sr. Jaden Akins led Sunrise Christian Academy with 14 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds.  Kendall Brown added 11 points, three rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Kennedy Chandler recorded nine points, three rebounds, and seven assists.  Gradey Dick chipped in with nine points.  Zachary Clemence added six points on two three point baskets, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Taniya Latson led Westlake with 31 points including 12 of 15 free throws, three rebounds, and two assists.  Raven Johnson added 17 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, and two steals.  Brianna Turnage recorded 11 points, 11 rebounds, and seven blocked shots.  Camerah Langston chipped in with six points, eight rebounds, and three steals.

Montverde Academy’s Caleb Houstan’s tip in gave his team a 51-49 victory over the upset minded AZ Compass Prep.  AZ Compass Prep trailed 42-33 after three quarters but staged a furious rally in the final quarter that fell one basket short.  Montverde Academy shot 41.8% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  They connected on three of three free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 AZ Compass Prep turnovers.  AZ Compass Prep shot 45.5% from the field including five of 19 from beyond the arc.  They connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 11 Montverde Academy turnovers.

 

Jalen Duren led Montverde Academy with 14 points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Dariq Whitehead added 13 points and 6-8 Jr. Malik Reneau recorded 10 points on five of five from the field.  Caleb Houstan chipped in with five points and seven rebounds.

 

TyTy Washington led AZ Compass Prep with 15 points, four rebounds, five assists, and two blocked shots.  Alden Applewhite added 11 points on three three point baskets including three three point baskets and three rebounds.  6-6 Jr. AJ Storr recorded seven points.  Ryan Nembhard added five points, nine assists, and two steals.

Kennedy Chandler led Sunrise Christian Academy with 25 points including two three point baskets, 11 of 14 free throws, five rebounds, and five assists.  6-3 Sr. Jaden Akins added 14 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds.  Kendall Brown recorded 10 points and five assists.  Gradey Dick chipped in with eight points, 10 rebounds, and two steals.
