Lexington Catholic held on to defeat Boyle County by a score of 24-21.  Boyle County missed a 24 yard field goal attempt with 5.2 seconds remaining on the clock.  This was a hotly contested game punctuated with injuries and penalties.  The first quarter was scoreless but Boyle County held a 14-7 lead late in the first half.  Back-up QB Reese Ryan threw a 38 yard TD pass to Sam Letton as time expired to pull the Knights within two; 14-12 at the intermission.  LexCath lost QB Kyle Bolin, Sam Letton, and LB Josh Mesmer in the first half due to injuries.  Boyle County took a 21-12 lead in the third quarter on a 22 yard interception return by Seph Burke.  The Rebels intercepted another Ryan pass but a 27 yard field goal attempt by Will Harris was blocked by Casey Nash.  Lexington Catholic rallied in the final period behind their defense and the passing of Reese Ryan and two touchdown runs by Amoh Kumengisa to earn the victory.  Boyle County had one final opportunity but the potential game-tying field goal was wide left.

Lexington Catholic recorded 15 first downs and 320 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized 10 times for 95 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Boyle County recorded 21 first downs and 365 yards of total offense.  The Rebels ran 27 more plays (73-46) than Lexington Catholic and was penalized six times for 35 yards
