Lafayette survived three turnovers and 145 yards of penalties to defeat Paul Laurence Dunbar by the score of 21-10. Lafayette recorded 21 first downs and 419 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized 16 times for 145 yards. Lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 13 first downs and 149 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized eight times for 66 yards.

Harrison Stephens led Lafayette’s ground game with 78 yards on eight carries. JJ Richardson carried the ball five times for 69 yards and a touchdown. Tyree Richardson recorded 47 yards on six carries. Jehovanis Kondo chipped in with a touchdown run. Jehovanis Kondo completed 20 of 42 passes for 221 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Cale Locklar caught five passes for 110 yards and one touchdown. Colton Coleman added five receptions for 40 yards. Jackson Grantz recorded four catches for 28 yards. Gavin Huff and Nick Logan each returned one kickoff for eight and five yards respectively. Jackson Grantz led the defense with seven solo and four assisted tackles. YaYa Chenault added four solo and three assisted tackles. Harrison Stephens and Landon Baker each recorded four solo tackles. Mekhi Taylor chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles.

Jayshawn Crosby led Dunbar’s ground game with 54 yards on 25 carries. Dominic Faulkner carried the ball five times for 16 yards. Conner Norsworthy caught five passes for 69 yards and a touchdown. Dominic Faulkner returned two kickoffs for 66 yards with a long return of 41 yards. Locke Loftus led the defense with four solo and five assisted tackles. Ryan Barrett added five solo tackles. Noah Barrett recorded four solo and one assisted tackles and intercepted a pass he returned seven yards. Tolley Carter chipped in with three solo and one assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Jaxon Leugers added three solo tackles and recovered a fumble. Grayson Rodgers added two solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Kaleb Monroe also recorded two solo and two assisted tackles.
