Scott County defeated Great Crossing by the score of 42-21. Scott County recorded 21 first downs and 459 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized five times for 56 yards. Great Crossing recorded 17 first downs and 287 yards of total offense. The Warhawks were penalized five times for 47 yards and lost one fumble.
Nick Ranson led Scott County’s ground game with 133 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Skyler Way carried the ball 15 times for 63 yards. Red Owens recorded 53 yards on six carries. Timmy Emongo added 47 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. Jayden Garrett chipped in with 43 yards on four carries. Charlie Ellison recorded 39 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. Charlie Ellison completed three of six passes for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Red Owens caught two passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Timmy Emongo added one reception for 18 yards. Jay Herring returned one kickoff for 14 yards. Ryson Baker returned one kickoff for six yards. Ju JU Harmon led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles. Keller Furnish added five solo and one assisted tackles. Riley Colvin recorded three solo and three assisted tackles. Asher Brewer chipped in with four solo tackles. Timy Emongo recovered a fumble.
Luke Ballard led Great Crossing’s ground attack with 182 yards and a touchdown on 30 carries. Trey Campbell carried the ball once for 11 yards. Grant Rock completed three of 11 passes for 28 yards. Sam Penn completed four of seven passes for 64 yards. Britton Persley caught three passes for 49 yards. Hunter Moody added two receptions for 16 yards. Xavier Clay recorded one reception for 21 yards. Joel Johnson returned four kickoffs for 64 yards with a long return of 29 yards. Trey Campbell returned three kickoffs for 36 yards with a long return of 24 yards. Wyatt Highley led the defense with nine solo and 10 assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. William Braunm added three solo and four assisted tackles. Joel Johnson recorded three solo and two assisted tackles. Ethan Gant and William Braunm each recorded three solo and one assisted tackles.
