Charleston Catholic vs. Wheeling Central Catholic (Class 2A Championship)

Charleston Catholic coach Wes Hevener started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Ilyauna Evans, 5-7 Sr. Aurelia Kirby, 6-0 Jr. Mary Rushworth, 5-6 Fr. Ali Wilcox, and 5-6 Sr. Molly Messer. Wheeling Central Catholic coach Roberta Olejasz countered with 5-7 So. Bella Fitzsimmons, 5-10 Sr. Kaitlyn Blake, 5-11 Jr. Haley Severns, 5-5 Jr. Seneca Heller, and 5-6 Jr. Addie Payton.

Charleston Catholic had lost two previous meetings with Wheeling Central Catholic but parlayed a strong defensive effort with a controlled, slower tempo to earn a 55-41 victory and earn the championship. Charleston Catholic got off to a fast start and led 18-8 at the end of the first quarter. Charleston Catholic shot 40% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Irish connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Wheeling Central Catholic turnovers. Wheeling Central Catholic shot 32% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Maroon Knights connected on five of 10 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 10 Charleston Catholic turnovers.

Mary Rushworth led Charleston Catholic with 16 points including three of three free throws, seven rebounds, three assists, and three blocked shots. Molly Messer added 15 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Ali Wilcox recorded 11 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws, and two rebounds. Aurelia Kirby chipped in with seven points including four of four free throws, five assists, and two steals. 6-0 Fr. Nora Aliff recorded four points, four rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Kaitlyn Blake led Wheeling Central Catholic with 14 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. 5-8 Jr. Erin Maxwell added nine points, 10 rebounds, and two assists. Addie Payton recorded seven points including two three point baskets, three assists, and three steals. Bella Fitzsimmons chipped in with six points, seven rebounds, and three assists. Seneca Heller added five points, three rebounds, and two assists.

Wayne vs. Nitro (Class 3A Championship)

Wayne coach Wade Williamson started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Brooke Adkins, 5-11 Sr. Kyla Brown, 6-0 Sr. Addison Adkins, 5-5 So. Jayce Sammons, and 5-10 Sr. Mikayla Stacy. Nitro coach Pat Jones countered with 5-8 So. Brianna Gibson, 5-7 Jr. Ava Edwards, 6-0 Sr. Natalie Smith, 5-4 So. Mika Adams, and 5-7 Fr, Brooklyn Cawley.

Wayne avenged an early season loss with a 56-39 victory over Nitro. Wayne shot 47.5% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Lady Pioneers connected on 15 of 22 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 18 Nitro turnovers. Nitro shot 30.4% from the field including six of 26 from beyond the arc. The Lady Wildcats connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Wayne turnovers.

Jayce Sammons led Wayne with 22 points including two three point baskets, 10 of 12 free throws, and five steals. Brooke Adkins added 16 points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots, and five steals. 5-4 So. Lexi Blankenship recorded eight points and four rebounds. Mikayla Stacy chipped in with seven points, four rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots. Addison Adkins recorded three points, eight rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Brianna Gibson led Nitro with 16 points including four three point baskets, and two rebounds. Brooklyn Cawley added five points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. 5-4 Jr. Jaycee Sigmon recorded five points and three rebounds. Natalie Smith recorded four points, 13 rebounds, and two assists.

Morgantown vs. Spring Valley (Class 4A Championship)

Morgantown coach John Fowkes started the following lineup: 5-9 Fr. Sydney Deusenberry, 5-8 Sr. Sadaya Jones, 5-10 Sr. Lucie Hatcher, 5-4 So. Kayli Kellogg, and 5-7 So. Tatum DeVries. Spring Valley coach Larry Bo Miller countered with 5-10 Sr. Dria Parker, 5-10 Jr. Brooklyn Ellis, 6-1 Sr. Allie Daniels, 5-7 Jr. Sophi Hutchison, and 5-8 Sr. Ella Giles.

Spring Valley defeated Morgantown by the score of 62-45. Spring Valley shot 48.9% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line. The Timberwolves connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored six points off 11 Morgantown turnovers. Morgantown shot 23.5% from the field including seven of 28 from beyond the arc. The Mohigans connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored eight points off 13 Spring Valley turnovers.

Sophi Hutchison led Spring Valley with 24 points including four of six free throws, five rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Brooklyn Ellis added 13 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two assists. Allie Daniels recorded 12 points including four of four free throws, 16 rebounds, and two steals. Dria Parker chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets and five rebounds.

Tatum DeVries led Morgantown with 16 points including four three point baskets, four of four free throws, and eight rebounds. Kayli Kellogg added 11 points including four of four free throws, three rebounds, and three steals. Sadaya Jones recorded seven points including five of eight free throws and nine rebounds. 5-8 So. Brenna Nelson chipped in with seven points. Lucie Hatcher pulled down six rebounds.

Tug Valley vs. Gilmer County (Class A Championship)

Tug Valley coach Seth Ooten started the following lineup: 5-8 So. Katelyn Richardson, 5-9 Sr. Kenzie Browning, 5-9 Jr. Bailee Hall, 5-6 Jr. Haven Deskins, and 5-7 So. Kylie DeBoard. Gilmer County coach Amy Chapman countered with 5-7 Jr. Malory Casteel, 5-6 Jr. Lena Frymier, 6-4 Jr. Ava Dobbins, 5-4 Sr. Allie Ellyson, and 5-4 Sr. Kenley Hartshorn.

Gilmer County defeated Tug Valley by the score of 66-22. Gilmer County shot 45.3% from the field including eight of 22 from the three point line. The Lady Titans connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Tug Valley turnovers. Tug Valley shot 15.6% from the field including zer of 11 from beyond the arc. The Lady Panthers connected on two of five free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored nine points off 14 Gilmer County turnovers.

Allie Ellyson led Gilmer County with 18 points including two three point baskets, four of five free throws, six rebounds, nine assistss, and five steals. Lena Frymier added 18 points including five three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists. Ava Dobbins recorded a rare triple double with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 blocked shots. Blair Dobbins chipped in with seven points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots.

Haven Deskins led Tug Valley with nine points, nine rebounds, and three steals. Bailee Hall added six points, 13 rebounds, and two steals. Kenzie Browning recorded five points and two rebounds.
