Great Crossing coach Steve Page started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Vince Dawson III, 6-5 Sr. Gage Richardson, 7-1 Sr. Malachi Moreno, 5-10 Sr. Jamari Mason, and 6-1 So. LJ Holman. George Rogers Clark coach Josh Cook countered with 6-5 So. Montez Gay, 6-6 So. Maddox Hager, 6-7 Jr. Amari Bartelson, 5-9 Jr. Malachi Ashford, and 6-1 Sr. Eli Craig.
The score was tied 37-37 after three quarters but Great Crossing outscored George Rogers Clark 18-6 in the final quarter to earn a 55-43 victory. There were six lead changes and nine ties in this game. Great Crossing shot 41.5% from the field including two of 16 from the three point line. The Warhawks connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored six points off seven George Rogers Clark turnovers. George Rogers Clark shot 34% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on three of four free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Great Crossing turnovers.
Malachi Moreno led Great Crossing with 22 points including six of six free throws, 20 rebounds, four assists, and five blocked shots. LJ Holman added 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Vince Dawson III recorded 10 points and 11 rebounds. Gage Richardson chipped in with seven points, five rebounds, and three assists.
Malachi Ashford led George Rogers Clark with 13 points, four assists, and two steals. Montez Gay added nine points, five rebounds, and two steals. 5-10 Fr. Connor Morguson recorded eight points including two three point baskets and two steals. Maddox Hager chipped in with seven points.
