Scott County vs. Sayre (Girls) February 20th

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Tyra Young, 5-7 So. N’mya Summers, 6-0 Fr. Kierstin Young, 5-6 Fr. Belle Banner, and 5-7 So. Maleiyah Moore. Sayre coach Eric Kinder countered with 5-11 Sr. Kylee Dennis, 5-7 Fr. Ellie Oldham, 5-10 Fr. Lucie Pitman, 5-5 Fr. Kathryn Kinder, and 5-6 Sr. Sophia Richardson.

Scott County defeated Sayre by the score of 57-48. Scott County shot 35.1% from the field including 10 of 28 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored nine points off 13 Sayre turnovers. Sayre shot 28.1% from the field including three of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Spartans connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 20 Scott County turnovers.

Maleiyah Moore led Scott County with 24 points including six three point baskets, six rebounds, five assists, two blocks, and three steals. N’mya Summers added 10 points, nine rebounds, and two steals. Belle Banner recorded nine points on three three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists. Tyra Young chipped in with seven points, 12 rebounds, and three assists. Kierstin Young added seven points, five rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.

Kylee Dennis led Sayre with 36 points including two three point baskets, 10 of 10 free throws, six rebounds, four blocked shots, and three steals. Sophia Richardson added nine points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Lucie Pitman pulled down seven rebounds.

Henry Clay vs. Bryan Station (Boys) February 20th

Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Henry Lynch, 6-2 Sr. Mason Hawkins, 6-2 Sr. Kyan Miller, 5-10 Sr. Konlin Brown, and 6-0 So. Kayson Brown. Bryan Station coach Champ Ligon Jr. countered with 6-7 Sr. Jaden Biggers, 6-3 Jr. Daeveon Adams, 6-6 So. Felix Gonzalez, 5-11 Fr. Amari Owens, and 5-11 So. Ethan Dunn.

Bryan Station defeated Henry Clay by the score of 62-53. The score was tied four times and there were seven lead changes in this game. Bryan Station shot 44.4% from the field including three of nine from the three point line. The Defenders connected on 11 of 18 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 10 Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 34.9% from the field including seven of 15 from beyond the arc. The Blue Devils connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored two points off four Bryan Station turnovers.

Felix Gonzalez led Bryan Station with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Amari Owens added 13 points, five rebounds, eight assists, and four steals. Daeveon Adams recorded 11 points and five rebounds. 6-2 Fr. Tayshawn Adams chipped in with five points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.

Konlin Brown led Henry Clay with 19 points including three three point baskets, six of six free throws, six rebounds, and five assists. Mason Hawkins added 16 points including four three point baskets and four rebounds. Henry Lynch recorded 10 points including four of five free throws, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.

Frederick Douglass defeated Scott County by the score of 69-48. Frederick Douglass shot 40 % from the field including 10 of 19 from the three point line. The Broncos connected on 11 of 23 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 19 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 32.7% from the field including seven of 21 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored five points off seven Frederick Douglass turnovers.

Niah Rhodes led Frederick Douglass with 26 points including seven three point baskets, three rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Victory Slrdge added 14 points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots. Jermyra Christian recorded nine points, seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Kate Baker chipped in with nine points including two three point baskets. 5-9 8th Grader Jaylee Knowles recorded eight points and seven rebounds.

Maleiyah Moore led Scott County with 20 points including six three point baskets and five rebounds. Tyra Young added 13 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. N’mya Summers recorded 12 points and eight rebounds.

Frederick Douglass raced out to a 27-12 first quarter lead on their way to a 86-69 victory over Bryan Station. Frederick Douglass shot 52% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line. The Broncos connected on 32 of 40 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 20 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 47.1% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on 18 of 25 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

6-1 Sr. Tylon Webb led Frederick Douglass with 20 points including 16 of 19 free throws, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Armelo Boone added 19 points, eight rebounds, five assists, four blocked shots, and two steals. Aveion Chenault recorded 18 points including six of nine free throws, seven rebounds, and two assists. Kai Simpson chipped in with 13 points including eight of eight free throws. Logan Busson added 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Amari Owens led Bryan Station with 31 points including two three point baskets, 13 of 15 free throws, five rebounds, and four assists. 6-2 Fr. Tayshawn Adams added 14 points, eight rebounds, and two steals. Jaden Biggers recorded nine points and six rebounds. Daeveon Adams chipped in with six points and six rebounds.

Bryan Station defeated Henry Clay by the score of 56-40. Bryan Station shot 41,9% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Defenders connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 15 Henry Clay turnovers. Henry Clay shot 32% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Blue Devils connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored eight points off 19 Bryan Station turnovers.

Jailenn Green added Bryan Station with 20 points including five of six free throws, four rebounds, two assists, and four steals. Albertine Cyuzozo added 11 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocked shots. 5-6 Sr. Emily Gomez recorded 10 points including five of six free throws, four rebounds, and three assists. Makari Murphy chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two assists. Kailyn Gentry added seven points and 10 rebounds.

Timarri Miller led Henry Clay with 12 points, five rebounds, and three steals. Allison Stone added 10 points, five rebounds, and two assists. 5-8 Jr. Emily Johnson recorded eight points and three rebounds.

Scott County outscored Sayre 26-15 in the final quarter to pull away for a 62-47 victory. The score was tied three times and there were eight lead changes in the game. Scott County shot 50% from the field including seven of 13 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on 13 of 14 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 17 Sayre turnovers. Sayre shot 37.3% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc. The Spartans connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 12 Scott County turnovers.

Nick Mosby led Scott County with 26 points including 11 of 12 free throws, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Lamarion McGrapth added 15 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. Micah Glenn recorded seven points, two rebounds, and two steals. DaQuis Brown chipped in with six points, four rebounds, six assists, two blocked shots, and two steals. JZ Middleton recorded six points on two three point baskets, five assists, and two steals.

Davis Miller led Sayre with 19 points and four rebounds. Brock Coffman added 13 points, 10 rebounds, and three steals.

The Broncos connected on 16 of 26 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored nine points off nine Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 25.4% from the field including three of 19 from beyond the arc. The Lady Defenders connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 15 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

Jermyra Christian led Frederick Douglass with 20 points, five rebounds, five assists, and four steals. Victory Sledge added 16 points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots. Niah Rhodes recorded 10 points and four rebounds. 5-9 8th Grade Jaylee Knowles and Amayah Maxwell pulled down 10 and eight rebounds respectively.

Albertine Cyuzozo led Bryan Station with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Jailenn Green added 10 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four steals. Kailyn Gentry recorded six points and six rebounds.

Armelo Boone led Frederick Douglass with 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Kai Simpson added 14 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Aveion Chenault recorded 12 points and six rebounds. Tylon Webb chipped in with 12 points, three rebounds, and three steals.
