Mercy Academy coach Nick Cann started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Emma Barnett, 5-10 Sr. Mary Smith, 6-2 So. Leah Macy, 5-7 So. Addison Becker, and 5-8 Fr. Abby Reitzel. (Alyssa Murphy out tonight with an injury) Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 6-0 So. ZaKiyah Johnson, 5-8 Jr. Claire Russell, 6-3 Jr. Angelina Pelayo, 5-8 Sr. Triniti Ralston, and 5-10 Jr. Reagan Bender.

Sacred Heart Academy took advantage of Mercy Academy’s starting point guard Alyssa Murphy being unable to play tonight forcing 29 turnovers, and recording 20 steals in an 85-41 victory. Sacred Heart shot 54.4% from the field including six of 20 from the three point line. The Valkyries connected on five of 12 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 41 points off 29 Mercy Academy turnovers. Mercy Academy shot 36.6% from the field including four of 15 from beyond the arc. The Jaguars connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored two points off nine Sacred Heart turnovers.

Reagan Bender led Sacred Heart Academy with 22 points including four three point baskets, four assists, and five steals. ZaKiyah Johnson added 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and five steals. Angelina Pelayo recorded 17 points and four rebounds. Claire Russell chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds. Triniti Ralston added four points, four rebounds, nine assists, and six steals.

Leah Macy led Mercy Academy with 22 points and nine rebounds. Emma Barnett added eight points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, four blocked shots, and two steals. Mary Smith recorded five points, four rebounds, and two steals.
