Paris coach Shawn Ransom started the following lineup: 6-1 So. Kaden Frederick, 6-0 Sr. Christian Blackwell, 6-3 Sr. Trey Murrell, 5-8 Fr. Malachi Ashford, and 5-10 Jr. Jakari Ransom. Lafayette coach Vince Sanford countered with 6-0 Sr. Emmany Bandamuna, 6-0 Jr. Peyton Pritchard, 6-4 Sr. Jack Ackerman, 5-8 So. Eli Thomas, and 5-11 Sr. Jayd Huynh.

Paris defeated Lafayette by the score of 80-76. There were seven lead changes and two ties in this game. Paris shot 50% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line. The Greyhounds connected on 18 of 22 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 12 Lafayette turnovers. Lafayette shot 43.3% from the field including eight of 25 from beyond the arc. The Generals connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 11 Paris turnovers.

Malachi Ashford led Paris with 34 points including four three point baskets, 12 of 12 free throws, two rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Jakari Ransom added 20 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two assists. Trey Murrell recorded eight points and 10 rebounds.

Emmany Bandamuna led Lafayette with 26 points including 12 of 15 free throws, 18 rebounds, 10 assists, and three blocked shots. 5-8 Fr. Clay Noble added 12 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds. Jayd Huynh recorded 12 points including three three point baskets, two rebounds, and three blocked shots. Jack Ackerman chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds.
