Great Crossing vs. Grant County (Boys)

Great Crossing coach Steve Page started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Jeremy Godfrey, 6-5 So. Vince Dawson III, 6-11 So. Malachi Moreno, 5-9 So. Junius Burrell, and 6-4 So. Gage Richardson. Grant County coach Joseph Utter countered with 6-4 Sr. Dylan Hammonds, 6-1 Jr. Spencer Breeden, 6-10 Sr. Micah Wills, 5-10 Jr. Jackson Utter, and 5-11 Sr. Daniel Fox.

Grant County trailed 47-45 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Great Crossing by the score of 61-55. There were three lead changes and six ties in this game. Grant County shot 54.2% from the field including two of nine from the three point line. The Braves connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Great Crossing turnovers. Great Crossing shot 49% from the field including five of 11 from beyond the arc. The Warhawks connected on two of four free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 13 Grant County turnovers.

Dylan Hammonds led Grant County with 25 points including five of five from the free throw line, 12 rebounds, two assists, and three steals. Spencer Breeden added 14 points, two rebounds, and two assists. Micah Wills recorded 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Daniel Fox chipped in with nine points. Jackson Utter added three points, eight rebounds, and two assists.

Junius Burrell led Great Crossing with 14 points including two three point baskets. Gage Richardson added 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists. Vince Dawson III recorded 11 points, three rebounds, and four assists. Malachi Moreno chipped in with eight points, nine rebounds, and three assists. Jeremiah Godfrey added six points, two rebounds, and five blocked shots.
