Scott County coach Tim Glenn started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Nick Mosby, 6-1 Sr. Micah Glenn, 6-4 Jr. Lamarion McGrapth, 5-8 Sr. JZ Middleton, and 5-10 Sr. Daquis Brown. Frederick Douglass coach Wes Scarberry countered with 6-3 So. Armelo Boone, 6-2 So. Logan Busson, 6-3 So. Aveion Chenault, 6-1 Sr. Tylon Webb, and 6-2 Sr. Kai Simpson.
Frederick Douglass defeated Scott County by the score of 71-63. Frederick Douglass shot 53.7% from the field including five of 15 from the three point line. The Broncos connected on eight of 14 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 14 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 46% from the field including nine of 20 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on eight of nine free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored seven points off seven Frederick Douglass turnovers.
Aveion Chenault led Frederick Douglass with 22 points, three rebounds, and two blocked shots. Tylon Webb added 15 points including seven of 10 free throws and four rebounds. Armelo Boone recorded 14 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds. Kai Simpson chipped in with 13 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Nick Mosby led Scott County with 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots. Daquis Brown added 15 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists. Micah Glenn recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two assists. JZ Middleton chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets, five assists, and three steals.
