George Rogers Clark coach Robbie Graham started the following lineup: 6-2 So. Ciara Byars, 5-7 Sr. Trinity Gay, 5-11 Sr. Brianna Byars, 5-3 8th Grade Kennedy Stamper, and 5-7 Fr. Anaya Chestnut. Mercy coach Nick Cann countered with 6-2 So. Leah Macy, 5-10 Sr. Mary Smith, 6-1 Sr. Emma Barnett, 5-5 So. Alyssa Murphy, and 5-7 So. Addyson Becker.
Mercy Academy outscored George Rogers Clark 23-8 in the final quarter to earn a 65-53 victory over George Rogers Clark. There were six lead changes and three ties in this game. Mervy Academy shot 44.6% from the field including six of 15 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on nine of 13 ree throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 15 GRC turnovers. GRC shot 42.3% from the field including zero of 12 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cards connected on nine of 16 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored six points off nine Mercy Academy turnovers.
Leah Macy led Mercy with 21 points, 15 rebounds, and three steals. Alyssa Murphy added 18 points, four rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Emma Barnett recorded 13 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds. 5-7 Fr. Kenzee Renee chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.
Ciara Byars led George Rogers Clark with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Brianna Byars added 17 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.
