Lexington Christian Academy rolled up 570 yards (512 through the air) of total offense in a 43-0 victory over Somerset. LCA recorded 32 first dpwns and 570 yards of total offense. The Eagles were penalized eight times for 65 yards, lost four fumbles, and had two passes intercepted. Somerset recorded five first downs and 138 yards of total offense. The Briar Jumpers were penalized 11 times for 120 yards,lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.
Alex Rayyan led LCA’s ground game with 39 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Cutter Boley and Mac Darland each ran for a touchdown. Cutter Boley completed 36 of 57 passes for 507 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions. Parker Chaney caught 16 passes for 291 yards. Will Nichols added three receptions for 55 yards. Evan Brown recorded 48 yards and a touchdown on four receptions. Nate Barnhardt caught three passes for 29 yards and a touchdown. Evan Brown returned two punts for 55 yards including a touchdown return of 55 yards and returned one kickoff for 35 yards, Major Brown led the defense with 10 solo and six assisted tackles. Will Nichols added four solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Jayden Taylor and Brooks Kerwin each recovered a fumble.
Guy Bailey led Somerset’s ground game with 53 yards on 14 carries. Kris Hughes completed eight of 19 passes for 61 yards with one interception. Tony Palmer caught three passes for 28 yards. Cayden Cimala added three receptions for 13 yards and Kam Hughes caught two passes for 15 yards. Guy Bailey returned four kickoffs for 41 yards. Kam Hughes returned one kickoff for 31 yards. Kam Hughes led the defense with nine solo and one assisted tackles. Ameron McCaskill added seven solo and two assisted tackles. Guy Bailey recorded five solo and one assisted tackles. Preston Reed intercepted a pass.
