Male vs. Ballard (Boys)

7th Region Tournament (Championship)

Valley High School

Louisville, KY

March 7, 2022

Kaleb Glenn hit a jump shot at the buzzer to give Male an 82-80 triple overtime victory over Ballard in a game that was considered by veteran observers to be one of the best games they had ever witnessed.  It was for all the marbles (the regional title) and also the final game for Ballard coach Chris Renner who leaves the hardwood with a 7-3-186 slate.  Ballard’s Keno Hayden scored at the final horn in regulation to knot the score at 63 all and force the first overtime. Ballard’s Gabe Sisk provided the heroics in the first overtime with four straight points to tie the score at 70-70 and force a second overtime.  Male had a chance to end it but missed the shot and the score ended at 76 all and forced a third overtime.  Ballard committed a turnover with approximately 30 seconds remaining setting the stage for Glenn to become a hero deeply etched into the storied Louisville high school  round ball history..

6-7 Jr. Kaleb Glenn led Male with 38 points including four three point baskets and 10 rebounds.  6-2 Jr. Demetrius White added 14 points.  6-7 Sr. Dez Lindsay and 5-10 Jr. Jack Edelen each recorded 10 points.

6-5 Jr. Gabe Sisk paced Ballard with 30 points.  6-3 Sr. Kennedy Hayden 15.  6-0 Sr. Kaden Stanton and 6-10 Sr. Maker Bar chipped in with 10 and eight points respectively.
