Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz started the following lineup: 6-6 Jr. Chandler Starks, 6-2 Sr. Mekhi Wilson, 6-8 Sr. Mitchell Rylee, 5-11 Sr. Evan Ipsaro, and 6-1 Jr. Kascyl McGillis.  Ashland Blazer coach Jason Mays countered with 6-2 Sr. Cole Villers, 6-2 Fr. Zander Carter, 6-2 Sr. Ryan Atkins, 5-11 Jr. Colin Porter, and 6-1 Sr. Ethan Sellars.

Ashland Blazer defeated Covington Catholic by the score of 71-60.  Ashland Blazer shot 46.3% from the field including 10 of 22 from three point line.  They connected on 23 of 29 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and committed 13 turnovers.  Covington Catholic shot 47.1% from the field including two of nine from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and committed 17 turnovers.

Ethan Sellars led Ashland Blazer with 20 points including four three point baskets, six of eight free throws, and two steals.  Colin Porter added 19 points including eight of eight free throws, nine rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Cole Villers recorded 12 points including three three point baskets, three of three free throws, four rebounds, and two assists.  Zander Carter chipped in with seven points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Ryan Atkins recorded six points and six rebounds.

Mitchell Rylee led Covington Catholic with 23 points including seven of 10 free throws and seven rebounds.  Evan Ipsaro added 21 points, three rebounds, and four assists.  Chandler Starks recorded 11 points, 13 rebounds, and two assists.
