Frederick Douglass coach Jason Moseley started the following lineup: 6-7 Jr. Tyson Barrett, 6-0 Jr. Tylon Webb, 6-7 Sr. Shemar O’Roy-Ford, 5-5 Fr. Armelo Boone, and 5-11 Jr. Kai Simpson.  Great Crossing coach Steve Page countered with 6-5 Fr. Vince Dawson III, 6-6 So. Jeremiah Godfrey, 6-10 Fr. Malachi Moreno, 5-9 Fr. Junius Burrell, and 5-11 Sr. Carson Walls.

 

Frederick Douglass defeated Great Crossing by the score of 60-57.  Frederick Douglass shot 42.2% from the field including five of 11 from the three point line.  The Broncos connected on 17 of 26 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 15 Great Crossing turnovers.  Great Crossing shot 43.4% from the field including five of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Warhawks connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 13 Frederick Douglass turnovers.

 

Tyson Barrett led Frederick Douglass with 14 points, 14 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Tylon Webb added 14 points.  Kai Simpson recorded 12 points, four rebounds, and five assists.  Armelo Boone chipped in with 11 points including six of seven free throws, three rebounds, and three assists.

 

Vince Dawson III led Great Crossing with 19 points, six rebounds, and four assists.  Malachi Moreno added 11 points, 12 rebounds, five blocked shots, and two steals.  Junius Burrell recorded 10 points, three rebounds, and four assists.  Carson Walls chipped in with eight points including two three point baskets.
