Lexington Catholic coach Lee Tegt started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Katherine Truitt, 5-8 Fr. Abby Hammond, 5-9 So. Lydia Kennedy, 5-7 Jr. Lucy Nash, and 5-7 Sr. Hannah Carlisle. Bryan Station coach Serena Sandusky countered with 5-10 Sr. Tania Woodall, 5-11 So. Victory Sledge, 5-11 So. Kailyn Gentry, 5-6 Jr. Makari Murphy, and 5-6 Jr. Emily Gomez.
Lexington Catholic earned a 68-62 come-from-behind victory over Bryan Station on the road. There were 12 lead changes and two ties in the game. Lexington Catholic shot 52.3% from the field including four of 10 from the three point line. The Knights connected on 18 of 31 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 2 4 points off 22 Bryan Station turnovers. Bryan Station shot 39.1% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc. The Defenders connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 32 points off 26 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Katherine Truitt led Lexington Catholic with 32 points on 10 of 13 from the field and 12 of 17 from the free throw line, five rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Lydia Kennedy added 12 points, seven rebounds, two blocked shots, and five steals. Hannah Carlisle recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Tania Woodall led Bryan Station with 20 points including two three point baskets and three steals. Kailyn Gentry added 18 points, 16 rebounds, and six steals.
