Highlands coach Kevin Listerman started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Sam Vinson, 6-2 Jr. Oliver Harris, 6-4 Sr. Luke Muller, 5-9 Jr. Zachary Barth, and 5-9 So. William Herald.  Muhlenberg County coach Kyle Eades countered with 5-11 Sr. Isaac Rose, 5-11 Sr. Cole Vincent, 6-0 Jr. Donovan McCoy, 5-9 Jr. Trey Lovell, and 5-10 Sr. Nash Divine.

 

Highlands raced out to a 26-15 first quarter lead on their way to an 88-60 victory over Muhlenberg County.  Highlands shot 62.5% from the field including 12 of 18 from the three point line.  The Bluebirds connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 16 points off eight Muhlenberg County turnovers.  Muhlenberg County shot 41.2% from the field including eight of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Mustangs connected on four of 10 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Highlands turnovers.

 

Sam Vinson led Highlands with 31 points including six three point baskets, five of six free throws, four rebounds, five assists, four blocked shots, and two steals.  Luke Muller added 21 points including three three point baskets, eight of nine free throws, eight rebounds, and two assists.  Oliver Harris recorded 11 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Zachary Barth chipped in with nine points, five rebounds, and four assists.  William Herald added eight points and seven rebounds.

 

Nash Divine led Muhlenberg County with 21 points including five three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals.  6-0 Sr. Asher Carver added 12 points including two three point baskets.  Donovan McCoy recorded seven points and four rebounds.
