9th Region Basketball Tournament (Quarterfinal)

St. Henry coach David Faust started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Wyatt Vieth, 6-2 Sr. Jude Bessler, 6-4 Sr. Cody Teeten, 5-8 Sr. Cory Shea, and 5-10 Sr. Ryan Butler.  Highlands coach Kevin Listerman countered with 6-3 Sr. Sam Vinson, 6-3 Jr. Oliver Harris, 6-5 Sr. Luke Muller, 5-9 Jr. Zachary Barth, and 5-9 So. William Herald.

 

Highlands led 55-44 after three quarters and withstood a St. Henry rally to earn a 74-68 victory.  Highlands shot 47.3% from the field including seven of 15 from the three point line.  The Bluebirds connected on 15 of 17 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and committed 15 turnovers.  St. Henry shot 38.6% from the field including six of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Crusaders connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and committed 12 turnovers.

 

Sam Vinson led Highlands with 20 points including 10 of 11 free throws, 13 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.  Zachary Barth added 16 points including two three point baskets and two rebounds.  Oliver Harris recorded 13 points, five rebounds, six assists, and two blocked shots.  William Herald chipped in with 13 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds.  Luke Muller added 12 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.

 

Wyatt Vieth led St. Henry with 22 points including three of three free throws, four rebounds, five assists, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Cory Shea added 15 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and four steals.  Jude Bessler recorded 14 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals.
