Madison Southern coach Austin Newton started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Trent DeVries, 6-2 Jr. Blake Simpson, 6-4 So. Brett Erslan, 5-7 So. Zach Hudson, and 5-8 Jr. Walter Smith.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-4 So. Jaylen Davis, 6-4 Sr. Kole Browne, 6-4 Jr. Will Hardin, 6-2 Sr. Braeden Ray, and 6-6 So. Trey Skaggs.

 

Madison Central pulled away late to defeat Madison Southern by the score of 71-58.  Madison Southern took a brief one point lead early in the third quarter but the Indians quickly rallied and took control of the game.  Madison Central shot 57.9% from the field including five of 11 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 22 of 38 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored two points off five Madison Southern turnovers.  Madison Southern shot 38.5% from the field including 10of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Madison Central turnovers.

 

Jaylen Davis led Madison Central with 20 points including three three point baskets, five of seven free throws, and nine rebounds.  Will Hardin added 19 points including seven of 10 free throws, and five rebounds.  Kole Browne recorded 16 points including three of three free throws, three rebounds, and four assists.  Braeden Ray chipped in with eight points, three rebounds, and three assists.

 

6-1 So. Jay Rose led Madison Southern with 14 points including three three point baskets and two rebounds.  5-9 Sr. Jayden Adams added 12 points including three three point baskets, two rebounds, and three assists.  Brett Erslan recorded 12 points including four of six free throws, and four rebounds.  Trent DeVries chipped in with seven points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and two assists.  Zach Hudson added six points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two assists.
