Madison Central coach Brad Lovely started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Bailey Hensley, 5-10 Sr. Raelynn Miller, 5-11 Sr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-4 So. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Sr. Brianna Bierbaum.  Model coach Candace Wells countered with 5-6 7th Grade Emma Kate Lawson, 5-6 Jr. Kenzie Ferguson, 5-11 Jr. Taylor LeCompte, 5-3 Sr. McKenna Tuttle, and 5-6 Jr. Keaton Hall.

 

Madison Central trailed 8-7 after the first quarter but 5-5 8th Grade Brittany Campbell sparked a 28-9 outburst in the second quarter to take a 35-17 lead at halftime on their way to a 57-43 victory over Model.  Madison Central shot 34.9% from the field including three of 13 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 10 of 12 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and committed six turnovers.  Model shot 26.2% from the field including five of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and committed 15 turnovers.

 

5-4 8th Grade Brittany Campbell led Madison Central with 15 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Campbell was seven of 10 from the field including one of one from beyond the arc and did not commit any turnovers.  Bailey Hensley added nine points and seven rebounds.  Gretchen Hammitt recorded seven points and two rebounds.  Eve Carter chipped in with six points and two steals.

 

McKenna Tuttle led Model with 14 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Keaton Hall added eight points including five of eight free throws, seven rebounds, and four assists.  Emma Kate Lawson recorded eight points and five rebounds.  Taylor LeCompte added six points and 10 rebounds.
