Elizabethtown coach James Haire started the following lineup: 6-1 Sr. Camden Williams, 6-0 Sr. Jaqualis Franklin, 6-4 Sr. Alandre Murphy, 5-9 Sr. Kam Sherrard, and 5-9 Sr. Khia Sherrard.  Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz countered with 6-6 So. Chandler Starks, 6-5 Jr. Colin McHale, 6-7 Jr. Mitchell Rylee, 5-9 So. Evan Ipsaro, and 6-4 Sr. Donovan Stocks.

Covington Catholic defeated Elizabethtown by the score of 79-62.  The Colonels outscored Elizabethtown 22-9 in the second quarter to take control of the contest.  Covington Catholic shot 50.8% from the field including seven of 13 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 12 of 18 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and committed 18 turnovers.  Elizabethtown shot 45.1% from the field including seven of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Panthers connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers.

Mitchell Rylee led Covington Catholic with 31 points, 22 rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Evan Ipsaro added 18 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and four assists.  Ipsaro was six of seven from the field including four of four from beyond the arc and two of two free throws.  Chandler Starks recorded 11 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and five steals.  6-2 Jr. Mekhi Wilson chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets. 

Alandre Murphy led Elizabethtown with 18 points including two three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two steals.  Kam Sherrard added 18 points including two three point baskets, six of six free throws, four rebounds, and two assists.  Camden Williams chipped in with nine points.  Khia Sherrard added three points, six rebounds, and four assists.  Jaqualis Franklin recorded 14 points, two rebounds, six assists, and four steals.
