Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 Jr. Jack Gohmann, 6-4 So. Hudson Sparks, 6-10 So. Reece Potter, 6-1 Sr. Ryan Russell, and 6-2 Sr. Ben Johnson.
Lexington Catholic trailed 46-36 after three quarters but rallied to outscore Lexington Christian Academy 31-17 in the final quarter to earn a 67-63 victory over a determined LCA squad. There were five lead changes and four ties in this game. Lexington Catholic shot 47.6% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line. The Knights connected on 21 of 25 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 14 LCA turnovers. LCA shot 46.3% from the field including nine of 21 from beyond the arc. The Eagles connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 10 points off seven Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Ben Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 32 points including four three point baskets, 10 of 10 free throws, six rebounds, and two steals. Jack Gohmann added eight points including six of six free throws, two rebounds, and five assists. Ryan Russell recorded eight points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.
Tanner Walton led LCA with 26 points including nine of 10 free throws, six rebounds, and two assists. Tyler Hall added 20 points including five three point baskets and three rebounds. Jeffrey Selby recorded seven points, five rebounds, and three steals. 6-0 Fr. Brayden Mirus chipped in with seven points and five rebounds.
