Madison Central vs. Boyle County (Girls)

Madison Central coach Brad Lovely started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Bailey Hensley, 5-10 Sr. Raelynn Miller, 5-11 Sr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-4 So. Eve Carter, and 5-7 So. Chloe Freeman.  Boyle County coach Ryan Wiersma countered with 5-9 So. Peyton Bugg, 5-5 Sr. Emily Glassscock, 5-7 So. Ella Coffey, 5-2 So. Zoey Robbins, and 5-5 Fr. Andy Glasscock.

 

Madison Central led for most of the game but Boyle County rallied late and Peyton Bugg connected on five of six free throws down the stretch to give the Lady Rebels a 38-34 victory over Madison Central.  There were three ties and 11 lead changes in this game.  Boyle County shot 32.5% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rebels connected on 10 of 24 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored nine points off 23 Madison Central turnovers.  Madison Central shot 31% from the field including three of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Indians connected on three of 11 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Boyle County turnovers.

 

Ella Coffey led Boyle County with 14 points, eight re bounds, and three steals.  Peyton Bugg added nine points, seven rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Emily Glasscock recorded five points, five rebounds, and three steals.  Zoey Robbins chipped in with five points, three rebounds, and three steals.

 

Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with nine points and 13 rebounds.  Chloe Freeman added eight points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two blocked shots.  5-5 Fr. Eden Carter recorded six points and six rebounds.  Eve Carter chipped in with six points, four rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
