Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Jr. Olivia Cathers, 5-7 So. Kylie Noble, 6-0 Jr. Anaya Brown, 5-1 Jr. Catherine Jacobs, and 5-5 So. Gracyn Grantz.  Lexington Catholic coach Donald L. Tegt countered with 5-11 Jr. Chloe Treece, 5-8 Sr. Farah Weldon, 5-10 Sr. Emma Frank, 5-6 Jr. Hannah Carlisle, and 5-7 So. Katherine Truitt.

 

Lexington Catholic pulled away in the second half to defeat Lafayette by the score of 51-39.  There were six lead changes and four ties in this game.  Lexington Catholic shot 33.3% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 26 of 26 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 22 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 25.6% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 13 of 16 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Katherine Truitt led Lexington Catholic with 15 points including six of eight free throws, four rebounds, two assists,.and four steals.  Farah Weldon added nine points including five of five free throws, five rebounds, and two steals.  Hannah Carlisle recorded nine points, five assists, and four steals.  Chloe Treece chipped in with five points, nine rebounds, two assists, and four steals.  5-8 So. Olivia Bretz added six points, five rebounds, and two steals.

 

Anaya Brown led Lafayette with 17 points including 10 of 13 free throws, 12 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  5-10 Fr. Narrah Wilson added nine points and eight rebounds.  Olivia Cathers recorded seven points, six rebounds, four blocked shots, and three steals.
