Letcher County Central coach Keith Baker started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Brooke Bates, 5-6 Jr. Tori Holcomb, 5-9 Jr. Kaylee Banks, 5-3 Fr. Jaylin Whitt, and 5-6 Jr. Loren Boggs. Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis countered with 5-10 So. Bella Moberly, 5-7 Sr. Lacie Parks, 6-0 Jr. Reece Estep, 5-6 Jr. Morgan Flannery, and 5-7 Sr. Samantha Cornelison.
Madison Southern trailed 12 points midway through the second quarter and 53-49 after three quarters but rallied to defeat Letcher County Central by the score of 66-63. The score was tied three times and there were four lead changes in the game. Madison Southern shot 51.2% from the field including six of 13 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 16 of 22 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 26 points off 25 Letcher County Central turnovers. Letcher County Central shot 59.1% from the field including eight of 16 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cougars connected on three of eight free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 21 Madison Southern turnovers.
Samantha Cornelison led Madison Southern with 21 points including two three point baskets, 11 of 13 free throws, three rebounds, six assists, and four steals. 5-11 Jr. Macie Daniels added 16 points and four rebounds. Daniels was six of eight from the field including one of one from beyond the arc, three of four free throws, and four rebounds. Lacie Parks recorded nine points, four assists, and three steals. Reece Estep chipped in with seven points, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Bella Moberly recorded seven points, three rebounds, and two steals.
Kaylee Banks led Letcher County Central with 25 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Tori Holcomb added 11 points including three three point baskets and six assists. Loren Boggs recorded 10 points, two rebounds, two assists, and six steals. Brooke Bates chipped in with nine points, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Jaylin Whitt added six points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
