Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Jayla Johnson, 5-11 Sr. Bria Bass, 6-1 So. Anysa Jordan, 5-9 Fr. Alice Recanati, and 5-10 Fr. Kendall Wingler.  SIUE coach Paula Buscher countered with 5-10 So. Tori Handley, 5-10 Jr. Kelsie Williams, 6-2 So. Ajulu Thatha, 5-6 Fr. Sara Majorosova, and 5-9 Jr. Masyn McWilliams.

 

Eastern Kentucky University defeated SIUE by the score of 79-63.  The score was tied twice and there were five lead changes in the game.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 50% from the field including six of 11 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 21 SIUE turnovers.  SIUE shot 34.9% from the field including seven of 30 from beyond the arc.  The Cougars connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 14 EKU turnovers.

 

Bria Bass led Eastern Kentucky University with 16 points including six of six free throws and three rebounds.  Kendall Wingler added 13 points including three three point baskets, four of five free throws, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals.  Jayla Johnson recorded 11 points and four rebounds.  5-11 Fr. Corriana Evans chipped in with eight points.  Anysa Jordan added six points, four rebounds, and three assists.

 

Ajulu Thatha led SIUE with 12 points including four of six free throws, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  5-10 Sr. Allie Troeckler added 10 points and seven rebounds.  Masyn McWilliams recorded 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Sara Majorosova chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets and three assists.
