Madison Central coach Brad Lovely started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Raelynn Miller, 5-7 So. Chloe Freeman, 5-10 Sr. Greg Hammitt, 5-4 So. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Sr. Brianna Bierbaum. Whitley County coach Sean Pigman countered with 5-6 Fr, Darcie Anderson, 5-6 Sr.Reis Anderson, 5-10 Fr. Gracie-Jo Wilder, 5-5 Fr. Marissa Douglas, and 5-5 Sr. Jaycie Monhollen.
Whitley County defeated Madison Central by the score of 56-35 in another game in which Madison Central could not get untracked on offense. Whitley County led 24-18 after the first quarter and outscored the Lady Indians 18-4 in the second quarter to lead 42-22 at halftime. Whitley County shot 42.9% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Colonels connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 14 Madison Central turnovers. Madison Central shot 25.4% from the field including two of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Indians connected on one of five free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored nine points off 20 Whitley County turnovers.
Darcie Anderson led Whitley County with 16 points including three three point baskets and six assists. Reis Anderson added 15 points including two three point baskets and three rebounds. Gracie-Jo Wilder recorded nine points, 12 rebounds, four blocked shits, and two steals. Jaycie Monhollen chipped in with seven points, five rebounds, and two assists.
Eve Carter led Madison Central with eight points, five rebounds, and two assists. 5-4 8th Grade Brittany Campbell added seven points, two rebounds, five assists, four steals and only committed one turnover in 19 minutes. 5-10 Fr. Bailey Hensley recorded four points, five rebounds, two assists, and three steals. 5-7 So. Presley Lochmueller chipped in with two points and six rebounds in eight minutes. 5-5 Fr. Eden Carter added four points and four rebounds.
