Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Nick Runyon started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Elise Ellison-Coons, 5-8 Jr. Aziah Campbell, 5-10 Sr. Haley Gadd, 5-8 Sr. Tanaya Cecil, and 5-7 Jr. Carley Hinshaw.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 Sr. Kaylie Wise, 5-7 Jr. Brianna Penney, 6-0 Sr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-6 Fr. Maleiyah Moore, and 5-6 Jr. Emma Price.

 

Paul Laurence Dunbar outscored Scott County 18-3 in the second quarter on their way to a 60-35 victory over Scott County for a road victory.  Dunbar shot 44.7% from the field including nine of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Bulldogs connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 15 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 29.5% from the field including four of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 10 Dunbar turnovers.

 

Elise Ellison-Coons led Paul Laurence Dunbar with 19 points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.  Aziah Campbell added 15 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Tanaya Cecil recorded eight points, , six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Carley Hinshaw and 5-7 Jr. Quinn Arnold also scored eight points each.

 

Emma Price led Scott County with 12 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.  Kenady Tompkins added 10 points, five rebounds, and two steals.  Maleiyah Moore recorded eight points including two three point baskets.
