Lincoln County vs. Madison Central

Despite losing their star QB Clayton Davis to an injury early in the second half Lincoln County improved their record to 4-0 with a 26-14 victory over Madison Central. Lincoln County was clinging to a 20-14 lead late in the game and Madison Central mounted a threat but the Patriots ensured the win with a 75 yard interception return by Skyler Quinn with 2:07 remaining in the game. Turnovers plagued Madison Central as the lost three fumbles and had one pass intercepted. Lincoln County recorded 12 first downs and 215 yards of total offense. The Patriots were penalized five times for 40 yards and had two passes intercepted. Madison Central recorded 15 first downs and 296 yards of total offense. The Indians were penalized five times for 60 yards, lost three fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.
Lee Amon led Lincoln County’s ground game with 83 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Rodney Alcorn carried the ball 13 times for 50 yards. Clayton Davis added 33 yards on six carries. Clayton Davis completed one of five passes for 33 yards with one interception. Sawyer Horton completed one of three passes for 15 yards with one interception. Lee Amon caught two passes for 48 yards. Lee Amon returned two kickoffs for 62 yards with a long return of 55 yards. Clayton Davis returned one kickoff for 20 yards. Micah Phillips led the defense with two solo and 10 assisted tackles. Hunter Hanley added one solo and 11 assisted tackles. Blaise Brown recorded three solo and four assisted tackles and recorded two fumbles. Lee Amon added two solo and two assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Skyler Quinn scored on a 75 yard interception return.
Adrien Parks led Madison Central’s ground game with 86 yards on 10 carries. Blake Snyder carried the ball nine times for 65 yards. Nathan Storie recorded 61 yards on 13 carries. Kenyatta Hardge carried the ball 10 times for 26 yards and two touchdowns. Nathan Storie completed six of 12 passes for 58 yards with one interception. Zach Holbrook caught two passes for 19 yards. Jaylen Davis caught one pass for 16 yards. Jayden West returned one punt for 17 yards. Noah Shipley, Treyvion Parks, and Edgren Sweat each recorded two solo and five assisted tackles and Parks intercepted a pass. Anthony McLaughlin recorded seven assisted tackles. Elijah Carter added two solo and two assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling eight yards. Jayden West intercepted a pass he returned 44 yards.
