Lincoln County vs. Lexington Catholic (Boys)

Lincoln County coach Jeff Jackson started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Baylor Mattingly, 5-10 Sr. Elijah Frye, 6-8 Sr. Riley Bodner, 5-10 Sr. Bryston Alcorn, and 5-10 So. Jaxon Smith.  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-3 Sr. Luke Wedding, 6-1 Sr. Ian Rothbauer, 6-2 Sr. Jackson Smith, 5-9 Sr. Matthew Pabin, and 5-10 Sr. Wilson Hampton.

 

Lexington Catholic defeated Lincoln County by the score of 73-57.  Lexington Catholic shot 59.2% from the field including five of 13 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 10 of 13 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 14 Lincoln County turnovers.  Lincoln County shot 45.2% from the field including 12 of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored six points off five Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Luke Wedding led Lexington Catholic with 20 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Jackson Smith added 16 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Smith was seven of eight from the field and two of two from the free throw line.  6-2 Jr. Ben Johnson recorded 14 points.  6-2 So. Jack Gohmann chipped in with 12 points.

 

Baylor Mattingly led Lincoln County with 21 points on seven three point baskets.  Elijah Frye added 15 points  including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals.  Riley Bodner recorded 10 points and nine rebounds.
