Scott County vs. Campbell County (Girls)

Scott County coach Steve Helton started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Kenady Tompkins, 6-0 Jr. Kaylie Wise, 6-3 Sr. Malea Williams, 5-5 Sr. Morgan DeFoor, and 5-6 So. Emma Price.  Campbell County coach Nolan Boone countered with 5-8 So. Kylie Koeninger, 5-8 So. Hope Russell, 5-9 Sr. Gracie Holland, 5-3 Sr. Jalyn Jackson, and 5-6 Sr. Mallory Holbrook.

 

Scott County defeated Campbell County 70-64 in a hard fought contest.  Scott County shot 57.8% from the field including six of 14 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 12 of 14 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 12 Campbell County turnovers.  Campbell County shot 29.7% from the field including six of 27 from beyond the arc.  The Camels connected on 20 of 20 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 27 Scott County turnovers.

 

Morgan DeFoor led Scott County with 21 points including three three point baskets, six of six free throws, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Malea Williams added 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Kenady Tompkins recorded 14 points, seven rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Emma Price chipped in with 12 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and three steals.

 

Kylie Koeninger led Campbell County with 19 points including eight of eight free throws, six rebounds, and two steals.  Jalyn Jackson added 15 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Mallory Holbrook recorded 12 points including two three point baskets.
