Harrison County vs. Lafayette (Girls)

Harrison County coach Kimberly Marshall started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Katelin Ecklar, 5-8 So. Kara Hines, 5-9 Jr. Elizabeth Allison, 5-4 So. Gabrielle Hatterick, and 5-6 Sr. Sylvonya Williams.  Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-10 Sr. Olivia Cathers, 5-7 Fr. Kylie Noble, 6-0 So. Anaya Brown, 5-1 So. Catherine Jacobs, and 5-7 So. Lauren Walton.

 

Harrison County led 29-21 in the third quarter but Lafayette rallied for a 53-45 victory.  There were four lead changes and five ties in this game.  Lafayette shot 35.5% from the field including three of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Generals connected on 28 of 32 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 16 Harrison County turnovers.  Harrison County shot 31.6% from the field including six of 21 from beyond the arc.  The Fillies connected on 15 of 17 free throws, pulled down 22 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 16 Lafayette turnovers.

 

Lauren Walton led Lafayette with 28 points including two three point baskets, 18 of 20 free throws, and six rebounds.  Anaya Brown added 14 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and three blocked shots. Olivia Cathers recorded eight points and four rebounds.

 

Katelin Ecklar led Harrison County with 13 points including six of eight free throws, four rebounds, and three assists.  Elizabeth Allison added 11 points including three three point baskets.  Gabrielle Hatterick recorded 10 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four steals.
