Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-3 Sr.Marques Warrick, 6-1 Sr. Sebian Dillard, 6-1 Sr.Marquis Mackey, 5-8 Sr. Terron Hughes, and 5-10 Jr. Kanye Henderson.
Henry Clay raced out to a 16-9 lead in the first quarter on their way to a 79-68 victory over Frederick Douglass. Henry Clay shot 46.4% from the field including seven of 18 from the three point line. The Blue Devils connected on 20 of 28 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 12 points off seven Frederick Douglass turnovers. Terron Hughes recorded eight points, five rebounds, and five assists.
DaShawn Jackson led Frederick Douglass with 27 points including three three point baskets, six of seven free throws and 10 rebounds. 5-8 Jr. Khamri McMullen added 10 points. Jaylan Green recorded nine points, five rebounds, and three assists.
