Dixie Heights coach Roger Stainforth II started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Jacob Iames, 5-10 Jr. Ian Snelling, 6-3 Jr. Zachary Haigis, 5-6 So. Jay Flynn, and 5-6 So. Keirnan Geraci. Woodford County coach Jaron Brown countered with 6-5 Sr. Riley Gardner, 6-0 Sr. Jared Courtney, 6-4 Jr. Hunter Penn, 5-8 Sr. Anthony Tabor, and 5-8 Sr. Ashton Myles-Devore.
Woodford County outscored Dixie Heights 20-9 in the first quarter on their way to a 54-47 victory over Dixie Heights. Woodford County shot 50% from the field including six of 10 from the three point line. The Yellow Jackets connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 21 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 10 Dixie Heights turnovers. Dixie Heights shot 45.9% from the field including three of eight from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on 10 of 16 free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored eight points off 12 Woodford County turnovers.
Hunter Penn led Woodford County with 16 points, five rebounds, and two assists. Penn was seven of eight from the field and two of three free throws. Ashton Myles-Devore added 15 points including three three point baskets. Anthony Tabor recorded 12 points including two three point baskets and six assists.
Keirnan Geraci led Dixie Heights with 23 points including six of six free throws and five rebounds. Jacob Iames added 10 points including two three point baskets. Ian Snelling recorded nine points, four rebounds, and two assists.
