Lexington Catholic coach Lee Tegt started the following lineup: 5-11 So. Chloe Treece, 5-8 Jr. Ariel West, 5-10 Jr. Emma Frank, 5-6 So. Hannah Carlisle, and 5-8 Jr. Farrah Weldon.  Harrison County coach Kimberly Marshall countered with 5-9 Jr. Elizabeth Allison, 5-8 So. Kara Hines, 5-9 Sr. Katelin Ecklar, 5-3 So. Gabrielle Hatterick, and 5-6 Sr. Sylvonya Williams.

 

Lexington Catholic captured a hard fought 66-59 victory over Harrison County.  Lexington Catholic won the game at the free throw line as they held a 16-9 advantage in free throw points and Harrison County had two starters Katelin Ecklar and Gabrielle Hatterick foul out late in the game.

 

Lexington Catholic shot 45.1% from the field including four of 13 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 16 of 30 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 Harrison County turnovers.  Harrison County shot 39.7% from the field including four of nine from beyond the arc.  The Fillies connected on nine of 17 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 16 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Farah Weldon led a balanced Lexington Catholic scoring attack with 16 points including two three point baskets and 10 rebounds.  Chloe Treece added 14 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.  Ariel West recorded 11 points including four of four free throws, three blocked shots, and three steals.  Emma Frank added nine points and 12 rebounds.

 

Gabrielle Hatterick led Harrison County with 21 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Katelin Ecklar added 20 points and five rebounds.  Elizabeth Allison recorded seven points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
