Bryan Station vs. Henry Clay (Boys)

Bryan Station coach Nimbo Hammons started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Skyler Riley, 6-0 Jr. Trent Grundy, 6-4 Sr. Crishawn Yocum, 5-10 Sr. James Lindsay, and 6-0 Jr. Myler Morones.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-1 Sr. Sebian Dillard, 6-1 Sr. Marquis Mackey, 6-3 Sr. Marques Warrick, Jr. Aziel Blackwell, and 5-9 Sr. Terron Hughes.

 

Henry Clay trailed 54-39 late in the third quarter but mounted a furious rally to defeat Bryan Station by a score of 64-62.  Sebian Dillard made two free throws with 19 seconds remaining and the Blue Devils made a late defensive stop to ensure the victory.  The score was tied three times.  Henry Clay shot 40% from the field including nine of 19 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 24 points off 17 Bryan Station turnovers.  Bryan Station shot 60% from the field including 10 of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Defenders connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Marques Warrick led Henry Clay with 21 points three three point baskets, six assists, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Sebian Dillard added 15 points including six of six free throws, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Marquis Mackey recorded 11 points and five rebounds.  So. Kanye Henderson chipped in with 10 points including three three point baskets and two blocked shots.

 

James Lindsay led Bryan Station with 24 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and four assists.  Trent Grundy added 13 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Crishawn Yocum chipped in with eight points and three blocked shots.  Myles Morones added eight points including two three point baskets and five rebounds.
